"If you also liked being with me, if you also enjoyed writing those letters with me, if you also liked bringing me to school with you, and you also like me staying by your side. I like your company, but I don't know if you even felt mine. Yes, I doubted our friendship a little because I feel like, I'm not giving you enough company you deserve. The amount of company you are giving to me, I don't know if I'm giving you the same amount. I don't deserve you." Beomgyu sat down silently. Finally, he spoke the words he wanted to say to her.

"That is the reason you left? The reason why you left...me?" She held her chest. She obviously didn't expect Beomgyu to say those words.

"Of course, I enjoy being with you. If I didn't want to have you, I would've given you away. I was willing to help you not because it is a task, it's because I want to. I never thought of this as a task. I wanted to help you overcome the things you can't overcome by yourself. This isn't charity work Beomgyu. I wanted to do this in the first place because you are my friend. I treated you as a friend when we haven't even formally introduced ourselves." Ryujin spoke out loud.

"You don't know how much company you are giving me. I may not show it but I love your company so much. It felt like I always had a friend beside me who I can always lean on."

She looked at Beomgyu and saw his head hanging down low. She heaved a sigh and approached him. She picked him up and placed him on her lap.

"Don't ever think that way again. I don't just enjoy your company, I love your company. Don't say that you aren't giving me much company like I'm giving to you. Your presence itself is precious and my company, okay? Don't be sad anymore." Ryujin gave him a warm embrace.

Beomgyu looked up to her and gave her an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry for leaving and for thinking that way."

Ryujin face softens from his words. Those words honestly hurt her. Beomgyu doesn't know how much she cares for him. She was worried sick earlier and was about to cry when she couldn't find him out there. She got attached to him and she doesn't even know the reason.

"No, it's not your fault. I'm the one who's sorry. I'm sorry for making you feel that way and for shouting at you earlier. I was just worried. Don't leave again. I thought I lost you." Ryujin slightly pouted and caressed his head as he slightly chuckled.

"I promise I won't leave again."

"Because you're my owner. See?" He showed her the back of his name tag.

There it was, Ryujin's name under the owner space.

"Did you put that there?" Ryujin smiled.

"In your dreams. Shiela put that there." He replied.

"But you're the one who told her to put it there. Right?" Ryujin teased as he just stayed silent in between her arms.

"Hm. You cheeky bear. You ain't slick." She started tickling him.

"St-stop. Yes, I told her to put it there." He admitted. "Do you want to get it removed?"

"Nope. At least I claim you now." Ryujin smirked playfully.

"If I turn back to my human form, Do you still claim me?" He asked as Ryujin cheeks started getting red.

"Ehh Ryujin?" He teased. "You are turning red." He laughed as she started hiding her face.

"Don't hide your face. I'm just joking." Beomgyu held her hands.

"That's a different story." She looked away.

"I know you'll miss me in this form when I go back."

"Where did that boldness came from?" Ryujin chuckled.

"I was born with it." He winked as Ryujin rolled her eyes playfully.

"Whatever." I'll just sleep I'm tired." Ryujin laid down on her bed.

"You haven't had dinner yet though?" Beomgyu followed her movements.

"I'm not hungry. I want to sleep."

"Okay then, me too." Beomgyu said and plopped down beside her.

"Hold up, why you here? You sleep on the couch." She got up and pointed at the couch.

"Payback for yelling at me earlier." He said while his eyes are closed.

"I already-Ugh fine. But space." Ryujin put a huge pillow between them. "I'll let it slide since you're cute today." She whispered but obviously, Beomgyu heard it so he laughed.

"I don't mind. Goodnight Ryujin."

Ryujin closed the lamp and patted his head. Patting his head became their every night routine before going to bed.

"Goodnight Beomgyu."

And just like that, it seems like no argument or misunderstanding happened earlier. Oh, friendship.
