Ring
Your alarm blared through the early morning air. The window gleaned with the early morning sky as you groggily pulled the blanket off of yourself.
Smacking the alarm with annoyance, you sat up and slowly made your way to your bathroom. After a quick shower, you pulled on your freshly ironed school uniform and stalked down the stairs.
Monday
The curse that was bestowed upon the world. The day was dedicated to eye rolls and tried expressions. It was the morning of the tenth, your first day at your new school, Karasuno High, and exactly 1 month and 4 days till your 17th birthday.
You grumply plopped yourself down at the kitchen table before a box of cereal and a carton of milk was placed in front of you. Confused, you turn to your father who sat across the table from you.
Your father noticed your confused look before saying,
"Sorry sweetie, there's no pancakes this morning. I'm afraid i'm too nervous to cook anything and not burn it." He chuckled while digging into his bowl of sugary cereal.
You nodded before taking in his unusual appearance. He was wearing a suit and tie. His hair was nicely combed back and his face was completely shaved. The only other time you had ever seen him this formal was the funeral.
You quickly ate your breakfast as your brother raced down the stairs, already in his uniform. He would have looked nice if his collar was smeared in bright blue toothpaste.
Hikaru grinned up at you before sitting down in the chair to your right. You sighed to yourself before getting up and retrieving your bag.
After bidding your family goodbye, you walked out the door and into the warm june morning. The air was hot but the light breeze cooled you down.
The school wasn't too far from your house. It was a bit of a walk, but nothing you couldn't handle. As you took in the new sights of walking, your mind wandered away.
As you walked into the gates of your new school, you stared up at the large building. It was much bigger than your local school back in Okinawa.
The building was huge with several smaller buildings branching off. As you walked you hardly noticed the numerous students staring at you. The building entranced you, it was almost like fate was the one bringing you closer.
Whispers and murmurs were heard as you walked through the hallways. Everyone was staring at you as you navigated for your classroom. You tried to keep your head held high and avoid the mixture of looks being sent your way as you arrived at the third year corridor.
Your eyes wandered at the signs above the doors as you finally found your classroom.
Class 3,E, College Prep
You sighed in relief as you slowly opened the door to your class. It was only then when a room full of eyes noticed your appearance.
"Ahhh, I was wondering when you would arrive," The teacher said softly. He put down a book he was holding in his hand and motioned you into the class. "Introduce yourself please, then we can get started."
You walked in before slamming the door behind you. The bang shocked the class as you walzed into the middle of the room.
"Hey, I'm L/n Y/n, but you guys can call me whatever. I just moved here from Okinawa and no I will not teach you how to surf." You rolled your eyes at a group of boys with excitement on their faces. "I enjoy music and I hate math with a passion. Now where do I sit?"
The whole class was taken-aback by your obnoxious entrance. Not only did you interrupt their lesson, you didn't even apologize for it.
"Yes uhh, you can sit back there next to Sugawara, is that alright." The teacher said, almost annoyed, as he pointed to the back row where an empty seat was located next to a tall silver-haired boy with an impressed smirk on his face.
You rolled your eyes at him and walked to the back, before sitting down and pulling out a new brightly colored notebook. The neon colors amongst the gray and tan of the other notebooks caused a couple boys to chuckle and annoyed looks from a group of girls sitting in a far corner.
As the lesson drew on you felt yourself wanting to fall asleep. Unfortunately as the new student you didn't get the pleasure of doing so, as you were constantly being asked questions by both your teachers and peers.
The boy sitting next to you just stared off into space, and you were kind of jealous that he was able to do so. However as soon as you were about to look away the boy turned to face you, giving you a perplexed look before smirking.
"Am I that attractive or was there a fly on my head?" He asks, the smirk on his face turning into a grin.
You roll your eyes before saying,
"It's nothing like that you idio-"
BRIINNNNGGGGG
The cold ring of the school bell interrupted your thought as lunch begin with a start.
