"Hello?"

"Sugawara-san-"

"Is that crying?"  Sugawara said, concerned

"Yes, How do I stop a kid from crying?" Kageyama said

"Well... has she eaten or slept?"  Sugawara said

"No no, I mean yes. But she's not crying because of that, she's crying because she jumped off a table trying to mimic Hinata." Kageyama said

"Have you checked her for any bruises? Anything broken?" Sugawara said, even more concerned now

"Lie here sweetheart, let me check your bones." Kageyama said, lying the still crying kid down as he checked for possible injuries "None."

"Papa!" Kaita wailed

"Aw, she wants Hinata." Sugawara said

"That's not an option." Kageyama said, somewhat panicking as he attempted to console the girl

"Wait, I have an idea." Sugawara said

Kageyama listened as he facetimed the older, placing the phone on the table so Sugawara could watch.

"Go go." Sugawara said

Kageyama quickly went to search for the item, rummaging through his bedroom closet before running back.

"Kaita!" Kageyama said

Kaita's cries momentarily halted as she eyed the volleyball. After a few seconds, her arms reached up, making grabby hands towards it.

"It's working.." Kageyama said, subtly proud that his daughter was just as interested in the sport as her parents

"Two volleyball maniacs raised a fellow volleyball maniac." Sugawara smiled "I have to grade papers now, but call me if you need some more help."

"Ah yes. Thank you for your time. Tell Daichi-san I said hello!" Kageyama said

"Will do."  Sugawara said and hung up

"Ball? Please?" Kaita said, reaching up

"Let's show you how to throw it up." Kageyama said

It was day three of Kageyama's one man parenting task. One last day before Hinata comes back.

And of course, Kaita had gotten a cold.

Kaita had taken a shower before the two rushed to the backyard to play some volleyball, perhaps the mix of wet hair plus chilly night resulted in this.

Kageyama had debated calling his husband. He knew he should be out of training by now for the game later, but if he told him, he may stress about it.

The setter sat at his daughters bed, thinking to himself when his phone suddenly rang.

Quickly picking up the phone so it wouldn't wake Kaita, he answered.

"Hello?" Kageyama said

"Hey Tobio." Hinata said

"Shoyo?" Kageyama said, immediately recognizing the voice

"Yeah. Jeez, you didn't look at the caller ID?" Hinata said "That's how people get murdered in horror movies."

"Yeah yeah. I was in a hurry." Kageyama said "How's the training?"

"As good as it can be. Would be better if I could hear my husband and my daughters voice right now." Hinata said

"Ah." Kageyama said, turning to the sleeping child "She's asleep."

"Asleep? Did she not get enough sleep last night? It's pretty late in the day..." Hinata said

"Yeah, we were up last night and I lost track of time. Went a bit overboard on her bedtime." Kageyama said

"Alright, well I have to go now. I love you. Give Kaita a kiss for me." Hinata said

"I love you too." Kageyama said, brushing the little girls hair back comfortingly before kissing her forehead

"I'm home!" Hinata called out

"Papa!" Kaita said

Hinata smiled as his little girl ran up to him, hugging her tightly as he picked her up and looked around "Where's your daddy?"

"He's in that room!" Kaita said, pointing to the bedroom door

Hinata walked in and saw as the setter laid there on their bed, a wet towel over his forehead.

"Tobio? Are you sick?" Hinata said, rushing over to him and touching his head

"Mmm." Kageyama groaned

"Ah. Kaita, lets get you into your room before you catch this." Hinata said, walking out

"Papa, I already got sick yesterday!" Kaita said

Hinata halted in his steps before he looked back at Kageyama, a blank smile on his face "She got sick and you didn't tell me?"

Kageyama blinked a couple of times, feeling the dangerous aura of his shorter husband "Kaita deflated half your volleyballs!"

"Hey!" She said
