THE WHITE WALLS OF KAMINO used to be a comfort for omega. but, as the girl got to see more and more of the galaxy, the walls became a restraint.

the blonde girl walked with nala se, her eyes flicking around the facility she knew so well. stormtroopers walked up and down the hallways, the same ones that would pick fun at her for being a girl and being so small. at least with hunter, she wasn't made fun of.

they took a step into the lab, the same one that omega would assist in before the bad batch brought her along. standing alongside nala se, she did tasks that she was told to do. pressing a few buttons here and there and learning to analyze data was not fun; she found it quite boring.

before the two of them delved too deep into their work, nala se was pulled away by the prime minister. omega was curious as to what they were talking about, seeing as grand moff tarkin would also be accompanying them. the door shut behind them, and omega couldn't help but eavesdrop. for a little bit, she stood there and continued to sort through data, but she eventually gravitated over to the door. she didn't press her ear up against it; there was no need.

"we have no use for her," the prime minister spoke, his voice too calm.

"we could use her for our benefit. it would take a great deal of work but she could be put on our side." tarkin reasoned.

"she was trained by jedi master shaak ti; there's no way she would succumb to such training." nala se spoke up, and omega immediately knew who they were talking about: vana.

a silence fell and omega stepped away in case one of them thought they were being listened to. but, the conversation continued.

"then we have no use for her. she will join her friends in the force." tarkin's words sent a chill down the little girl's spine. were they going to kill vana?

"you want her executed?" nala se sounded surprised at tarkin's sudden change of attitude.

"precisely. lord vader wanted all of the jedi killed; he would be disappointed if we missed this opportunity." omega stepped away from the door, her heart pounding; what was she going to do? she hurried back to the holotable, pretending like she's been combing through data this whole time. the kaminoans stepped through once again, tarkin and the prime minister walking out of the lab.

"i don't feel so good. i think i'm going to lay back down," omega lied, putting her hands over her stomach to visualize just how 'sick' she was.

"alright. you've done well today, omega. go and get some rest." nala se nodded and omega slumped away. once she was out of the door, she ran. she ran as fast as she could to the detention center; she had to tell vana.

she reached the detention center will little problems; sometimes being a young child comes with its perks. telling the guards a fight was going on in the mess hall was enough to get them from their posts. omega saw her friends, and they immediately perked up.

"omega?" hunter did not expect to see the little blonde girl hurrying towards them, even though it was a relief. "did you find crosshair?"

"i did, but that's not what i'm here about," she panted, her eyes flicking over to vana.

"vana, you're going to be executed!" the little girl didn't believe the words pouring out of her mouth, but as soon as she said them, tears of fear welled up in her eyes.

"what?!" hunter was the first to react, voicing his distaste for the decision. "that can't be right!"

"execution? why decide now? why didn't they do it earlier?" echo voiced, causing vana to give him a raised eyebrow. he had a point.

"you could take care of em, right vana?" wrecker was all in for seeing vana kick some ass, but his anxiety bled through.

"i'm not surprised they've decided this," she started, sitting up straight, "vader vowed to have every jedi killed. they have one in their hands, and it would make sense for them to-"

"i'm going to go ahead and stop you right there," hunter wasn't having any complacency. omega looked at hunter, seeing the anger swim in his eyes.

"you're telling me you'd rather die than live to fight another day? to prove to others that the empire can't kill off everyone? you're a jedi, vana. the daughter of obi-wan kenobi. surely you can see you are more than a trophy!" hunter's words settled into vana's chest, and not very easily did they settle. she blinked, looking away from him. he was right. the jedi were protectors of the galaxy, if she gave in to the agenda of the empire, she'd be adding to the extinguishing of hope.

omega knelt in front of vana, her eyes pleading with her.

"don't give up; you're our only hope." omega whispered. before anyone could say anything, footsteps were heard above them. omega hid among the shadows as three stormtroopers descended. walking into vana's cell, they stood her up and walked her out. no words were said; everyone knew what was going to happen. the bad batch all stood up, watching as their friend was whisked away from them; they were going to need a new plan.
