Losing a friend
can be a big pain
mine was a companion
a savior, a friend
He was always near
guarding, and protecting
those he held dear
with these loving eyes
After he left
my heart sank deeper
when losing my pillow
my friend, my keeper
I will never be the same
without my shadow
it is hard to explain
a piece of the heart.
