"Does this one look better or this one? "
"They look the same Hayley!! ", I exclaimed.
Don't get me wrong, I love shopping, but shopping with Hayles is a nightmare.
She takes hours to pick an item, and when we finally reach the counter, she changes her mind and walks away from the store.
Right now she's trying to decide which shade of red lipstick looks better, and trust me when I say this, THEY LOOK THE SAME !!
"Summer, I must look good for this party, and nothing beats the classic Red. It just screams 'Fabulous' and not everyone can pull it off. "
"Exactly. Not everyone can pull it off but you could even pull of a 'Classic Black'. "
She laughs at that.
"True. Okay never mind. I have loads of Red shades anyway. Lets go get our dresses."
See what I mean. She took an hour in here and now wants to leave with no bag of MAC. I don't miss the exasperated look on her attendent's face.
Oh and speaking of party, there's the Winter Formal this weekend and of course we need a new dress, cause apparently it's a sin to wear an old one.
We finally walk into the store and I'm definite we were gonna be here for a while.
They had the biggest range of dresses and Hayley was going to make it her life's goal to try on each and every one of them.
I see her walk over to the Red section obviously, but I walk the other way to the Blacks.
One dress in particular caught my eye. It had just the right amount of detailing and it looked a perfect fit.
"Would you like to try it on. ", says the sales lady from behind me.
"Yes please."
She reaches out and pulls the gown off the rack, and leads me to the trial room.
I see Hayles there, hands already full with dresses of various colours.
"Don't tell me you're going Black again."
"How did you pick so many in 5 minutes! "
"Skills. ", she answers me.
"And yes.", I reply to her.
I try on the dress, and.....
It's perfect.
The length is perfect, the fit is perfect, everything about it is perfect.
I leave the trial room to where Hayley is waiting with her dress on.
"You look amazing.", that dress looked really good on her.
"Talk about yourself, Summer. Whoa! You're totally getting that."
"Yea, I guess so."
"Im gonna try the other one."
"What? Why! This one is gorgeous."
"It doesn't fit right. I look kinda plump."
"Hayley, it looks fine."
She looks at me for a second and then walks back into the trial room.
Weird.
Hayley picks her statement red dress and I decided to stick with the Black one I wore, and we make our way to the counter.
