I barged into class, my headphones in my ears while the walkman barely was in my pocket. Kevin was yelling my name behind me but I just sat down and ignored him. In this situation I was thankful that our teacher placed us on opposite sides of the classroom. But unfortunately it was the last week of school so everyone was kind of off the hook. When she let us move around I looked over at Kevin whom was still staring at me. I quickly turned away and looked down at my journal to finish the drawing i was doing. I had Led Zeppelin IV playing while I drew. I must've been so focused on my art I didn't realize Bolo and Lex had called Alice to their seats. I looked over again to see that kevin was no longer staring at me or trying to get my attention. He was looking at her and laughing at everything she said. I looked down again. Tears filling up my eyes. Kevin was the last person I wanted to lose. He was so special to me. I had to make an effort to try and fix whatever was happening but right now I needed to take a breath. I tore out a little sheet of paper and wrote,
"Kevin, please meet me in the gym during lunch. Just you and me. We need to talk and sort things out. For real this time."

I stood up and walked over to where they were all laughing. Kevin saw me walk over and frowned. I ignored it and placed the paper on his desk. He picked it up and read it but before he could even signal anything to me, I turned away. I walked back to my desk and looked at the time. We had one minute so I took the liberty to clean up my area. The bell rang and I got all my things. I walked to my locker where Kevin was already, and again, ignored him and got my stuff for my next class. I had 3 more classes until lunch and Kevin wasn't in any of them. Perfect. I could practice exactly what I needed to say. I thought about it for the three remaining classes, and then the bell for lunch rang. I felt sick.
