Lana's POV:
A small bar, situated 10 minutes from the motel, was where Lana headed after her first day at Lucia State. She needed a drink.. or two after the day she'd had. The altercation between her and Mildred playing out over and over in her mind like a broken record. The brunette threw down her purse with enough force to accumulate the attention of a group of men at the other end of the bar. She just ignored them, ordering herself a vodka tonic and switching off her phone as to not be disturbed.
"Rough day?" The bartender asked, placing Lana's drink down in front of her.
"You could say that." She mumbled, thanking him and downing the entire contents of her glass, earning herself a chuckle from the young man behind the bar. She winced slightly as the bitter taste of vodka warmed the back of her throat, but pushed her glass towards the bartender and ordered another.
The brunette took her time with this one, taking a tentative sip every couple of minutes. She wasn't planning on getting drunk considering she was working early the following morning, but she needed to calm herself down and this seemed like the only viable option.
Lana stared blankly at the liquid in her glass, revisiting earlier events; specifically when Mildred Ratched slapped her. What the fuck is wrong with her? Psycho bitch, she thought to herself, lips delicately grazing the edge of the glass before taking a small sip.
"If you don't like or agree with the kind of treatments that go on in this place then I suggest you leave, because your opinion is not needed nor validated, Miss Winters."
Of course she wasn't going to be ok with what went on in that place, it was simply barbaric. That woman was pure evil and she needed to be taken down a peg or 2, acting like she ran the hospital. Nurse Ratched probably couldn't run a bath, let alone a hospital.
Lana downed the last of her drink before sliding her glass towards the bartender. "Keep them coming."

The brunette practically stumbled back to the motel just after midnight, refusing to take a cab. She was going to have one hell of a hangover in the morning. How many drinks did she have? She lost count after her fourth glass, knocking them back like water. She failed to remember much of the evening as the night began to dawn on her, and before she knew it the bar was closing, forcing her to leave; no matter how much of a protest she gave.
Lana had no idea what possessed her to drink so much, she wasn't usually a drinker; especially not something as strong as vodka. Regret had already set in as her head pounded, matching the beat of her heart. Finally, she rounded the corner, setting eyes on a very faintly lit motel. Silently thanking god that she didn't have to walk further with her unsteady legs.
The brunette embraced the warmth that enveloped her when she entered the motel, heading in the direction of her room and making quite a ruckus in the process. Lana held a shaky finger to her lips, trying to stifle the giggles as she stumbled slightly. She hadn't been this drunk since she was a teenager.
Once she reached her room, the brunette slipped a hand inside her purse to retrieve her keys. The entire contents of her purse emptied all over the floor, the sound reverberating off the walls as she finally located said keys.
"Oops." She whispered chuckling to herself as she began scooping her belongings back into her bag. For a moment, she lay in a heap on the floor, trying to pull herself up but failing miserably.
Then a door creaked open and footsteps sounded from behind her followed by a quiet cough. Lana swivelled her head around, gaze meeting that of Nurse Ratched's, her expression laced with pure disdain and disappointment towards Lana.
"Yes..?" Lana croaked out, propping herself up against the wall. "Can I help you?" She then added, raising a questioning eyebrow.
"You're drunk." Mildred stated, crossing her arms over her chest. Lana took note of the thin and slightly see through material covering the older woman's slender body, and the way her dark hair hung loosely around her shoulders. For a moment she almost looked normal, and Lana momentarily forgot why she was so mad at her.
"You're very observant." Lana sighed, struggling to her feet unceremoniously and almost falling into Mildred, which she would have if it wasn't for the older woman's quick reflexes as she grabbed hold of Lana's arms to steady her.
"You can't keep your hands off me." Lana sniggered, shooting Nurse Ratched a wink.
The older woman rolled her eyes and sighed heavily snatching the keys from Lana's grip and opening the door for her which the younger woman was clearly in no state to do. Lana suddenly remembered that she was supposed to be mad at this woman and snatched her keys back. "I don't need your help.. Mildred." She emphasised her name knowing full well she was only supposed to address her as Nurse Ratched.
The older woman glared at her, lips forming into a tight line.
"Don't think I've forgotten what happened earlier!" Lana exclaimed stuttering on her words slightly as she pushed her way into her room. Thinking she would have the last word and the door would close with Ratched on the other side. However, when she turned the older woman had welcomed herself into Lana's room, harbouring a rather cold look on her face.
"Get the fuck out." Lana groaned, kicking off her shoes and collapsing onto the bed.
"Watch your mouth, Miss Winters."
The brunette let out a loud, obnoxious chuckle as she forced herself into a sitting position. "Or what? You going to hit me again?" She was now standing, legs unconsciously staggering towards the other woman. "You don't scare me.. Mildred." The name rolled off her tongue in a taunting way as a smirk danced on her lips.
"I'm warning you, Miss Winters."
Another chuckle from the brunette echoed around the room. "Go on. Hit me." At this point Lana almost wanted another slap from the other woman. Staring her down until she got what she wanted. What she received was not what she expected. Mildred forcefully shoved Lana against the wall, taking her by surprise; but of course the drunken woman just laughed.
"See.. can't keep your hands off me.. maybe you're the one who needs conversion therapy." Her tone was playful but bitter at the same time, a dig for Lana's earlier discovery.
Nurse Ratched's expression turned from anger to shock as she just stared at the other woman. Lana could have sworn she saw a glimpse of hurt in the other woman's dark orbs. The pair of them were silent. The brunette unaware of what the other woman's next move would be, but waited patiently nonetheless.
Lana exhaled slowly, head feeling slightly woozy due to the alcohol and the close proximity of Mildred. Her eyes flickered towards the older woman's lips that were slightly parted, warm breath ghosting across Lana's face; and she noticed Nurse Ratched's eyes do the same.
For a moment the brunette thought they might kiss but Mildred wasn't.. surely she wasn't gay? Lana's tongue poked out, brushing over her lips as the other woman leant forward. But she wasn't going in for a kiss like Lana thought, instead her lips were right next to her ear, and she slowly inhaled before whispering; "You're going to regret ever stepping foot into that hospital." Seconds later she was gone, leaving a very dumbfounded Lana trying to catch her breath as a cold chill shot through her whole body.
