Gazing at the glowing waters of the Atlantic
Enchanting melodies flowed,
The intoxicating lure began.
And so the high tides emerged,
the humongous ship sank.
Deplorable and dreadful.

The lulling voice called again
With heavy lust filled eyes,
blinded with temptation
Realization set in, he gasped for breath.
Drowning, a softer hand enclosed, beckoning him lower.

Panicking he clawed at the water.
Desperate, wanting any means of hope.
His weakening body gave up.
A final tide and the clouds looked pitifully
At his hand

Which never resurfaced.
