18 months later, Ryan's parents had convinced him to sell the home her and Vanessa owned. His dad took them by this 53 acre horse farm. Funny how one of Vanessa passions which she still does today and loves, but on that farm it was 7 year long nightmare. She even remembers her father-in-law telling her when he was done with her on the farm he would make her hate horses. She laughs still cause he clearly didn't know the kind of passion for animals, horses and the fighter she was inside. It has 2 houses on the property, a barn full of stores, indoor and outdoor riding arenas. Vanessa wasn't into the idea of moving there, she had a bad feeling about the entire thing. Ryan parents where still very controlling, even when it came to Ryan and Vanessa's children. Ryan kept telling her it will be better, you get to adopt a horse and run the stable yourself. However every time she tried to explain how a boarding riding stable works, the hours, caring for boarders horses anything. Ryan's dad would say he was the end all of everything around the farm including the barn he told Vanessa she could run. Ryan begged her as he be able to have his own personal indoor track and outdoor track in a field. Eventually she caved for Ryan only.
They finished renovating there house and put it up for sell. It only took a couple weeks to sell their house. Ryan's parents put their house up for sale, it took a little longer to sell but it sold just in time for the closing on the farm. They all moved to the farm on the same weekend. Ryan and Vanessa also had fifth wheel for camping by now. Ryan's parents had a motorhome as well for camping. Vanessa was feeling suffocated even more. If they wanted to take kids camping his parents just came, and his dad would say the 2 oldest kids where staying with them in the motorhome. His parents controlled everything never asking what they wanted to do once. Vanessa kept trying to communicate with Ryan's parents how it was making her feel. She missed her kids they need to be home more. She tried to do it calmly as much as possible, the more she tried the more intense Ryan's dad got. Eventually it came to him screaming or yelling in her face at all times. Vanessa would stop out of fear of his dad, one time heard him tell Ryan "she's lucky she's a girl I would knocked her out already." Vanessa would ask her husband for help to back her again more, he say he was busy no. She was in a marriage lonely and feeling broken. She lost herself completely.
She was giving up more and more, anything Ryan said she just did. Anything Ryan's parents told her to do with kids, or around the farm she did it. She had lost hope once again in her life. She tried explaining the barn, how the hours should be 8am-10pm, that horse owners work and want to be able to come see horses after. Ryan's dad said no 9am-4pm he had a belief if you owner a horse you had lots of money didn't work and only rode, now that is true for some owners but not all. Ryan's dad wanted to charge $600 a month and do very little, put horses out in fields and clean stalls nothing more. Any horse owner and rider knows full well running a horse stable is a 24/7 365 days a year job. Needless to say they never got boarders. Her father-in-law told her she be the weed whacker of the farm around the barn both houses, the fields and the ditch at the road, she would spend hours weed whacking everyday during the first summer. She hardly saw the kids all summer because of it, after the second summer she need carpilltunnel surgery on both hands. That same summer at the farm his parents got into a fight with her blaming her for no one wanting to put their horse at the barn. Vanessa had contacts in the riding world, she's ask them for advice they all said the same thing, "if you father in law would let you run the barn and the hours you telling him the barn would be full." Still that summer and that horse Vanessa was promised she could adopt one day that hadn't happened. The outcome of this huge massive fight where Vanessa snapped and stood up for herself since no one else would, Ryan's parents wanted to own the farm entirely they told Ryan and Vanessa to go to a lawyer and sign a paper his dad had already gotten written up, it would take them off the title of the farm. Vanessa screamed "I knew this exactly what this whole thing was about from the day you show us this place."
