Chapter: 6

*2 week later*

Tavi.

The sound of someone banging on the door and my vibrating phone woke me out of a deep sleep. I picked my head up momentarily and then layed back down, trying to drown out the sounds. The more I ignored the sounds, the longer they lasted.

I reached over for my phone and clicked answer without looking at the caller ID. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. I sighed dramatically and sat up in bed.

"Tavi!" Sandra yelled through the phone. "Tavi I know you're listening and I know you're home, so come and open the door."

I hung up my phone and threw the covers off of me exposing myself to the afternoon sun peaking through the windows. I stumbled out of bed from the intense pounding in my head and made it downstairs on time before Sandra rang the loud doorbell again.

When I opened the door the sun nearly blinded me making me squint my eyes, "hey." I groaned.

"Tavi what the hell?" Sandra questioned, pushing past me. "What's goin' on?"

I closed the door and turned around to see her looking at me, waiting for an explanation. "Nothing's going on. What are you doin' here?"

"I came to check on you." She crossed her arms over her chest, "I haven't talked to you in two weeks. No one has, we're worried."

"Sure," I snorted walking past her, making my way to the kitchen. "Everyone is worried about Tavi."

She rolled her eyes at my sarcasm, "well I am. Did you forget what yesterday was?"

I grabbed a glass from the cabinets and poured myself some water. While drinking I looked out of the window and sighed, then turned back to Sandra, who seemed to be waiting for me to talk.

I placed my glass on the counter, "I don't even know what today is?"

"It's Saturday, the day after my bridal shower."

I sighed and ran my fingers through my messy hair, "I'm sorry."

"That's it? Sorry?" She rhetorically asked me. "You haven't returned any of my calls in the past two weeks and then you miss out on my bridal shower. I was really hoping you'd be there considering you are my made of honor, and—,"

I slowly tuned out her voice as the pounding in my head grew gruesome. I couldn't even keep my eyes open and my head started to rock from side to side. I reached for the glass on the counter and picked it up. My hands trembled as I moved and my hearing came back once I dropped the glass and it shattered all over the floor.

"Tavi! Do you hear me?" Sandra yelled.

"Sandra can you stop yellin?" I mumbled, looking down at the glass on the floor.

She placed her hands on her hips, "well I'm pissed off right now. What's next you gonna miss my wedding?"

I shook my head, holding back my tears. "Sandra can we not do this right now?" I bent down to pick up the glass carefully, "I'm just not feeling myself lately...,"
