Chapter 10: Midnight Memories

Chloe and I walked out of target, pushing the cart back to my car. There was room in the cart and she jumped in it, now riding down the parking lot because her weight carried it down. "AH, Y/N, Y/N!" She was a while away from my car so I ended up chasing her down the parking lot, "ARE YOU COMING? I'M TOO SCARED TO OPEN MY EYES." I let out a laugh and chased her down the parking lot, stopping it just before it hit a big pole. 

"Gosh, Chloe." I pushed her and the cart back up to the car, "Why did you- Nevermind, help me load these in?" She got out of the cart, it rolled backwards, but she caught it. 

"Sure, sorry about- that." I just laughed and loaded in the snacks and necessities. 

"Okay, snacks check, floats check, lawn chairs check, volleyball check, sunscreen check, and a whole bunch of stuff we probably don't need? Check, check, and check!" We both laughed and I took the cart back to the cart return, "Woohoo!" Chloe just watched and laughed, I put it back and ran back to the car. I closed the trunk and hopped in the drivers seat, calling Alya, and putting her on my cars speaker. 

"Hey girlie! We're waiting on you, Chloe, and Adri. Do you think you could pick him up?" I thought for a moment, staring back at the snacks. 

"Yeah, of course! I think we got everything we needed from Target, plus a few wants... But mostly, we got everything!" Alya laughed and it was pretty clear she was facepalming on the other end. 

"Alright, I'll text him your on the way. Be safe girl!" I backed out of the parking space and headed out the parking lot. 

"Of course, see you soon." She hung up and I turned right out of the parking lot, heading towards Adri's. Chloe started messing with the radio, lip syncing to 7 rings. I just sang along and continued driving, I reached Adrien's house, pulled into the driveway, and Chloe and I got out. "Alright, mission convince overprotective father." 

"He's way more than overprotective, but whatever you say Captain!" I laughed and I knocked on the door, Nathalie opening it. 

"Hey Nathalie! How's it going?" Chloe looked shocked, she didn't know I was close with her. Nath pulled me into a warm hug and I heard someone walk down the steps. 

"Hello, girls. What brings you to my mansion?" A monotone voice from behind me said, I pulled away from the welcoming hug and saw none other than Gabriel Agreste. 

"Hello sir, I'm here to bring Adrien along for a road trip this weekend. I understand if you'd prefer he stayed, but it would be amazing for the tabloids! Seeing us with our friends, it would boost it even more." I knew half of what I said was a lie, but I mean if it works. 

"Yeah! It's really fun and he'd be able to hang out with his friends as well sir." He thought for a moment, just as Adrien ran down the stairs. 

"Hey Adri! What's up?" He wrapped me into a big hug, "Hi" I said laughing as he basically tried to suffocate me. 

He lowered his tone into a whisper, "Thank you for at least attempting to save me from this." I smiled back and he went over to hug Chloe. 

"Fine, he must be back by 12 am on Sunday." Adrien's eyes lit up, "Go pack your things son." He ran up to his room and started packing.
