Chapter 3: Practice Makes Perfect

The Hera Club had its own way of practicing and it is mostly through piano keys, practicing the song over a sheet and a hired teacher. Eun Byeol can even imagine Seok Hoon stressing over the keys because his sister is practicing but for the former, her mother took it up a notch. First, she practiced Quando Me'n Vo, the piece she is going to perform at the arts festival and as usual, with every mistake, Seo Jin banged the keys and tell her what to do, which she would not be able to understand because she was very intimidated by her. Second, she hit her stomach with a lightweight purple ball to "improve the diaphragm". Third, her mother was calm as if water is oxygen (she had no idea how she can pull that off) but Eun Byeol is so desperate for air that when she reached the surface and took a deep gasp, her mother dragged her back down. Eun Byeol swears every muscle in her body ached after that. If this was intended to make her a prima donna, her mother will be disappointed to know that its not working. Eun Byeol just felt bad after that.

After practice her mother went out somewhere while Eun Byeol staggered to the room where Ms. Jin is cooking at the kitchen as always. 

"I made some tea," Ms. Jin said lovingly. Her maid always seems to know how to make her feel better. Quite the opposite of her mother, who only knows how to make things worse. Although she had hours break, Eun Byeol knew her mother will keep her up till past one later in the evening so after tea, she recovered with much needed rest. Although her mother will scold her for wasting time dallying instead of not wasting every second by studying, frankly, Eun Byeol doesn't give a damn. 

And because her body relished the sleep, Eun Byeol barely had nightmares, which appears to culminating except at this point.
