This was the worst day to be stood up, the rain was cold & heavy; her clothes were sticking to her person which made her groan out in frustration.

"Where the hell is she? She said she'd be here.." Normani whispered to herself, a tight grip on her umbrella as she stood there with a pout. Rubi had done a lot of shit but God, she had the most awful timing.

This day was important to Normani and she couldn't stand to be late. Her car was having major trouble and her girlfriend agreed to pick her up just the night before. Why couldn't she stand on that promise? Why couldn't she stand on any promise?

"Ugh!" Normani found herself saying out loud, she was ready to call an Uber and she just knew the wait time for one would be longer than she needed them to be.

She gripped her umbrella as tight as she could and dipped her hand into her purse, in search for her phone. She was so focused on the task that she didn't even notice the all black vehicle pull up beside her. By the time she did, the driver had already rolled the window down.

"Get in."

"She's-"

"Mani, she's not coming. Get in."

Normani sighed in defeat, she knew Rubi wasn't coming but she didn't want to admit it, at least not to Megan. The passenger door popped open as Normani made her way towards it, Megan's temporary form of chivalry due to the rain.

"Please don't say anything." Normani pleaded as she buckled her seat belt.

Megan turned to face her and gave her a soft smile. Poor baby, she thought. She wouldn't give Normani grief about it, she'd just let her realize things on her own. Sometimes that's what you have to do.

"Why didn't you come? You said you would?"

Rubi furrowed her eyebrows with confusion, not sure what her girlfriend was rambling on about. She never knew what Normani went on about to be honest.

"I told you about my internship, you knew how important it was to me."

"I forgot, babe."

"Really? After you promised me THREE times last night?"

Rubi shrugged while laughing. "Am I supposed to remember everything I tell you, babe?"

Normani stopped herself from practically growling, she hated the bullshit that came from Rubi's mouth and she was starting to hate more than that.

"I gotta go."

Rubi sighed but let her girlfriend walk away because Normani would be back, she always came back.

Normani rocked back and forth on her feet as she stood in front of the door. If she could go back in time, just a minute before she knocked on it then she would. She had become fairly anxious as to who would greet her on the other side of the door and how they'd greet her.

"What are you doing here?" Made Normani look up, unable to form a sentence as she stared at Megan with puppy dog eyes before watching the woman sigh. "Come in."

Normani nodded and made her way into the condo, she always admired Megan's decor each time she's been here, even though she had only been there a few times. The only thing unusual was the woman sitting on the couch.

"Let's reschedule." Megan directed towards the woman on the couch, causing an attitude ridden response through body language.

Her neck rolled as she jerked her head towards Megan. "Megan, you serious? You gonna disrespect me right in front of my-"
