Timeline and Ages (Author's Note)

I'm currently writing the next scenarios but during my writing I came across a problem.

I use the Moral Kombat Wiki, my copy of MKX and MK11, and YouTube videos of cutscenes and Intros when writing my scenarios for this book. And in the other scenarios especially MK11 ones (Yes I'm writing MK11 scenarios) I realized my timeline is off when seeing the bio of the MK11 characters. Then I doubt checked the wiki and come to found out MKX is 22 years after MK9, then MK11 is 2 years after MKX. Which is weird since some characters bio in MKX contradicts the 22 cannon, Jax's bio said 30 years have past since MK9 and in cutscenes he said 25 years ago, in the MKX Comics I think the gap is 25 (I could be wrong but it doesn't since due to MK11 it's not cannon comics anymore), and then MK11 just threw everything out the window.

So I try to rewrite the ages in my book to fit the "cannon" timeline but it changes everything so for days I'm pulling calculations and reevaluating my whole book. Making me look like this (which my sister agrees with) trying to deal with all the contradictions and recons of games and character bios:

And honestly I gave up and not give a fuck so I'll stick to my own timeline which I been using until MK11 came out and I thought the gap was 25 years between MK9 and MKX, which is close to the "official" 22 years. Plus it's fanfiction and my book so I could whatever I want, so y'all can complain about continuity all you want but honestly the games aren't solid on continuity too.

The game recons just threw things out the window. Plus they seem to make them younger each game when they should be in their 50s or 60s. So I'm sticking to my timeline to avoid confusion when reading this and for future scenarios more so on my upcoming MK11 ones.

Basically in my timeline MK9 and MKX are 25 years apart, but the Netherrealm lasted 5 years from MK9 until Shinnok's capture (about 3 years in) and Quan Chi escaping (he continued the war for 2 years in vain attempts). After Raiden and Sonya break Quan Chi spell on Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Jax, the others continued their lives or rebuilding them in the next 20 years until MKX starts. I know 20 years is totally cannon since MKX the characters often spoke about events 20 years ago, plus the comics said after celebrating the end of the Netherrealm War, Sonya and Johnny slept together and Sonya got pregnant with Cassie.

Then MK11 is 2 years after MKX since the game told us this and the characters confirm this too during cutscenes. So from MK9 to MKX the gap is 25 years, then MK11 from MK9 is 27 years.

Johnny Cage:

29 (MK9) 54 (MKX) 57 (MK11)

In MK9 I gave most of the characters ages around the mid-20s to late-20s age range, since it seem reasonable and their in-game models kinda show that plus in MKX most are in their 50's. Plus Johnny Cage MK11 said he was 28 during the tournament so my guess was close, but due the time gap I made Johnny a year older since he looks to be in his late-20's in MK9 and fits my list.
