Chapter 4: Cat got your tongue?

Once I transformed I kept looking at that tail, the wonders that thing would work in water, like jeez. I hopped out my window and I headed towards Alya, where she was already blogging, I took off down the street hopping from building to building. Thats when I saw a guy in a all black cat suit with a tail, black mask, and gold blonde hair that shined in the sunlight... I was stunned, speechless. I realized I was falling onto the building he was on, and not exactly landing on two feet as I should've. He immediately caught me and we just sat there on the ground, staring at one another. He had his hand around my back, carrying me bridal style as he just stared at me, I'm not complaining though. "Cat got your tongue?" I decided to break the tension, he's my partner not anything more, right? 

"Aha, sorry. Still getting used to the whole "I'm now a superhero who saves Paris" thing, I'm assuming you're the partner my Kwami told me about?" He's charming, seems kinda sarcastic, I feel like we're gonna be good friends. 

"I'm pretty sure, my Kwami told me about you too. I'm Amphitrite, you?" He looked at me and smiled, grabbing my hand, and kissing it. Woah there, buddy- I jump a bit but, I didn't back away.

"I'm.. Chat Noir, yeah Chat Noir! It is very nice to meet you, So have you figured out your superpowers yet? Mine were pretty easy." He chuckled and I just played with my hair. 

"Sort of, still haven't figured out the tail, honestly didn't get much info beside "I hope you can swim". So, I'm hoping those swim lessons from like 10 years ago kick in." I laughed at myself, I do it when I'm nervous, let's just hope he doesn't know that. 

"Tail?" I nod my head, "Woah, can we go test it out? Never know when we'll need to take a dive in the ocean." 

"Sure, come on I actually know the perfect place!" I ran off the building and he followed, I start running towards Adrien and I's favorite spots as a kid, where "NEmo" originated from. I haven't been there for a while so let's hope it's still in good enough shape, only a few people know about it. I slide down a building and use my trident as a baton to hop over the big trees surrounding the lake area. "And we're here! One of my favorite spots as a child." He looked amazed, it was adorable, a blush spread across his cheeks. 

"I actually know this area, that's really cool you know it too. Do you frequent often? Who knows, maybe I'd see you without the mask, and... tail. Woah, that's a lot of detail." As he was rambling I went ahead and kind of '"attached" it. It was so pretty, green and blue scales, I got in and my breath was holding itself, no need for air. I was swimming around happily until I saw something at the bottom of the ocean, a note? It was a black box that had my name 'Y/n' plastered over it, from... adrien? This looks old, did I miss something he threw in as a kid? How come no-one has found it? I heard chat shouting from above, probably worried, I just stood there shocked. I came back up for air when chat jumped in after me, unknowing I had just come back up. "Dude, I'm right here!" He came back up and was out of breath, and drenched. 

"I was so scared, I thought you had run out of air or something. You worried me, m'lady." Awww m'lady? How adorable, awww! 

"I'm fine, apparently I can now breathe under water. I found something down there, I'll open it at home and tell you what it says later on if your curious." He looked at me happily, a big dumb smile spread from ear to ear. 

"I'd love to know, well I really must get going I have something big I'm asking someone today, I just hope the answers yes. I'll see you next acuma attack! Bye, purrincess." The nicknames are adorable, who thought I'd get a nickname on the first day? I wave goodbye to him and de-transform in the woods, no-one in sight. I grab the box I found which says "To y/n - From, Adrien" Awww, I wish I had seen this sooner. I backed my back up against a tree and threw my bag to my side so I could prop the box in my lap, I wonder what this is... I undo the ribbon on the top and open to see a note, labeled 2017, we would've been 11 I believe considering we're both 16. I unfold the note and start reading aloud.
