"Jaida, what was your little friend's name?"

"She's not my little friend, she's my best friend."

"At the end of the day she's still your friend."Fabian said over hearing the two from the living room while he grabbed snacks so they could watch a movie.

"And? Her name is Zuriella Brown." She answered him.

"Why do you call her Zuri then?" He asked out of curiosity.

"Do you like her or something?" Fabian asked, coming back with a bowl mixed with who knows what in there.

"If you do like her, nothing's wrong with that. And we say Zuri because it's shorter." Jaida said.

"My mother's so happens to work at the hospital she's at. Yes I go into the patient's room. I just don't get caught often. By the way, what's her middle name? I saw P on the board."

"You. Do. Not. Need. To. Know." Jaida answered pressing the play on the remote. "But if you like her though, Ms. Sleeping Beauty needs to wake up. Give her a kiss for me and take pictures. I don't have any new pictures of my bestie.

"She would be Snow White because she can't sleep for a hundred years."

"No. Sleeping beauty, that was her second favorite Disney princess. The first is Tiana and the third is Jasmine."

"Are y'all three? Why you talkin bout Princesses."

"Because we can. Sir Zidan I grant you my blessings to place your crusty dry lips on my daughters opposite of yours  to wake her up."

"Jaida chill." Her brother said to her

"Another question. What do her parents look like?"

"Nobody knows. She's adopted by a white family,  but  they're nice I like them. They're young and say after Zuriella's graduation they'll adopt or foster more so they don't get lonely." Jaida informed him. "But why do you ask so many questions?"

"My mo-

" We know that part already."

"Well I happened to pass by her room and her doctor said something about taking off her life support machines." He answered her. "In the room was a blonde lady and a red haired male with a little girl."

"Why would they take off her life support?"

"I didn't know I was just walking by that ward and overheard the ending of their convo." He answered. But he remembers some of the things his mother talks about when she had to turn off the patient assigned to her life's support. "They usually do that when the person is brain dead or unresponsive."

Jaida became silent after hearing that information. Her best friend could possibly die. She stared in space as negative thoughts started to overthrow the positive.

Fabian had similar thoughts running through his, he felt that Zuri was like another little sister. Both the siblings started thinking of the worst but masked it well and tried to put their focus back on the movie.

All three of them had only one wish and it was for Zuriella to wake up.

Jaida decided to visit her friend and Fabian chose to join in as well since he was her main source of transportation.

"Hey Mr and Mrs Smith." Jaida said walking in.

"Oh hi Jaida. Fabian. Who's that?"

"Her crush, he likes her too," She whispered to her then introduced Zidan to Mr. Smith.

"Where's all the machines that was in her at first?" Fabian asked seeing only a few now.

"They took it out, she's unresponsive. Her heart beat is dropping." Ms. Smith answered him.

"Weren't you the boy who was outside the window the other day?" About the same time Dr. Green was telling us this."

"You have me mistaken."

"No I don't. Why were you even here?" He asked

"You got caught." Fabian said, nudging his side.

"Yea it was me. Don't tell Dr. Green that tho, he has some hatred out for me " He confessed.

Zuri woke up in a field of tall grass that shimmered as if gold had been sprinkled upon them. She was alone and isolated. She tried to get up but her feet wouldn't comply, she tried to say something but her mouth wouldn't either.

The sound of a heartbeat was heard. It got faint the more she listened, it didn't go out but stayed beating slowly. She was unaware of what was happening but the thud had become more faint over time. She wondered what was happening but didn't see or hear anyone.

"Disney Princess, go kiss her yourself." Zidan said walking away from Jaida. Zuri's parents had just gone out for something to eat.

"No thanks I'll rather get a kiss on the cheek from the child you two will produce. Call them Jay the Jade."

"Good day Jaida I have places to be. I can't believe you're going to college soon."  He said walking out of the 𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕞

Sorry for not updating. Just been happen to be one of the kids whose parents. Mother in my case failed at something and is pushing it onto me. But I'll live. Hope you enjoyed reading. I'll edit this tmrw. Love y'all, stay blessed
