Ruby Riot: Kirishima x Reader

~Chapter 8~

Kirishima grabs your hand, he looks at you with his ruby colored eyes that are now glossy from his tears.

Kirishima: I love you, Y/n.

Tears continue stream down his face. You sit in shock.

Y/n: Wow...I really scared him, no one here knows the side effects to my quirk, so I can see how this could scare him. So he loves me ? We don't even have a label...how can he love me that fast ? I thought we were taking things slow.

You gently squeeze Kirishima's hand and give him a hopeful look.

Y/n: Hey there's nothing to be afraid of. This side effect of my quirk won't kill me, it happens sometimes, it's normal. I apologize for scaring you. Kirishima, you know I really like you a lot, but I thought we were moving slow. How do you love me ? We haven't even settled on a label after our kiss.

Kirishima: I know, I'm sorry. I said that out of impulse, but it was true from my heart. The plan was to take things slower, but seeing you like this terrified me. I wanted you to know that I loved you in case something bad ever happens to either one of us and I never get the chance to tell you. I don't expect you to say it back, but I wanted you to know my honest feelings. I know we haven't figured out a label yet, but what I do know deep down is that I definitely want to be with you. I don't need a label to know that I love you.

You wipe the tears from Kirishima's eyes. Your heart begins to melt at his words. Although you wanted to move slow, you can sense Kirishima's sincerity. Deep down you feel it's far too soon to say it back, but another part of you knows you're in love with him.

Y/n: I- I love you too Kirishima....I'm sorry I'm not the best at expressing my feelings, but that's how I feel. Part of me feels we're moving too fast, but a huge part of me knows that I want to be with you as well. I would still like us to move at a slower pace so we can properly get to know each other, I hope you don't mind. I just want us to be able to work.

Kirishima looks at you in delight, his tears start to clear up.

Kirishima: Of course Y/n, we can move as slow as you want. I just want you to be happy. As long as you're happy, I'm happy.

A knock at the door catches both of your attention, you weren't expecting company.

Professor Aizawa walks in the room.

Y/n: Professor Aizawa-

Professor Aizawa: Hello Y/n. Hello Kirishima.

Professor Aizawa turns to you.

Professor Aizawa: How are you feeling ?

Y/n: Much better, I'm ready to get out of here, I'm staring to feel just fine.

Professor Aizawa: That is good to hear, Y/n. I wanted to come by and visit you to see if you were okay.

Y/n: Thank you so much Professor Aizawa, I appreciate it.

Professor Aizawa: I just want to remind you once again. Please don't come to class without being fully hydrated. In fact, you have my permission to bring a small meal *AND* and bottle of water to my class. You can't overexert and exhaust your quirk. Also, if you need a break, take it. If you feel faint then let me know. Doing this may already be a normal thing for you, but not taking care of yourself can pose for many health issues and permanent deterioration of your quirk as you age.
