jace put his phone down, informing sicheng, "ms. seo's name is suji."
the pair was sat on the couch that morning after waking up on their usual time, not doing much but lie down and be on their phones.
"oh, similar to suzy bae."
"ah, yes, suzy bae," the other marvelled. "that woman is a goddess. if she told me to shake my ass i would do it any time."
his remark garnered a reaction containing confusion. "wh— why would she tell you to do that in the first place?"
"just a thought."
as minutes passed, jace sat up from his position, reaching for the remote control to turn netflix on. then and there, he browsed through the sections.
"wanna watch her latest drama?" he offered.
"she has a new drama?"
"the one from last year."
"how many times do we have to watch that?" sicheng scoffed as a response.
"why is your supportive boyfriend mode suddenly nonexistent? i thought we'd die for suzy bae together?"

"anyway, what day is it today?"
even after nearly ten minutes, both still couldn't decide on what to watch that morning. they gave up on the idea of rewatching that one drama with suzy that jace loved due to sicheng's clear disinterest.
peeking at his lock screen which displayed the date, he replied, "friday."
jace was hit by a realization afterwards.
"fuck," he cursed, dramatically tossing the remote control away. "ms. seo has online class at 8am sharp."
they briskly moved in panic, unable to process the thought. rather than running up to the kid's room in the speed of light for her to catch up with her first period, they just . . . stood there.
"she does?"
"yes, and she's 20 minutes late! i mean, it wouldn't matter for me if she just quit school overall, but that's not our kid, so go!"
