That night, Hinata got a long lecture from his mother who was worried sick when she came into an empty hospital room. She wished that her son was more responsible, and at least would've told her that he would be out with Kageyama until that time. Shoyo just quietly listened, not taking in account for any of her words. All he could think about was whether Tobio was mad or not.

So the next morning, he woke up early because he didn't know what time Kageyama would arrive. Considering if he would come to the hospital at all. Hinata anxiously waited in his hospital bed, causally glancing at his phone every now and then to see if Tobio would text him. He got no text from the taller boy.

It's like being in a relationship with Kageyama made the short boy worry more on what he thought of him. He just didn't want Tobio to be upset.

But to Hinata, it looked like Kageyama wasn't going to arrive...

KNOCK! KNOCK!

That's what it looked like until he heard the sound of the door knocking. The shorter boy practically flew to that door, slamming it open to see who it was. To no surprise, it was Kageyama who couldn't stay mad at Shoyo. Mostly because he wasn't mad in the first place.

"Stupid Kageyama, you came!" Hinata leaped into Tobio's arms, ecstatic that he really did come. But when he looked up, he didn't see that brooding frown on the taller boy's face. More like a mask that covered it.

"I told you I wasn't mad." Kageyama scoffed, while his voice was a bit horse. Like he caught a cold or something. "AND WHAT DID YOU-" Concern grew on Shoyo's face, hearing Tobio's scratchy voice and seeing the mask.

"ARE YOU SICK?!" Shoyo shouted so loud that the east wing of the hospital could probably hear him. Kageyama attempted to hush the shorter boy down, but Hinata was very concerned and was wondering how bad Tobio's cold is. He yanked the taller boy's head down, pressing his forehead onto his, just like he did last time. Only today, the dark haired setter didn't shove the smaller boy off.

"It's just a cold, and that's big speaking from someone who's in a hospital." Kageyama spoke with his forehead still connected to Hinata's. "Now off, you don't need a contagious cold on top of all your other illnesses." He slightly pushed the smaller boy away.

"Heh, I thought you weren't coming." Hinata rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a cold sweat from the nervousness. He was finding it pretty difficult to believe that Kageyama wasn't mad because the taller boy would get agitated for no reason most of the time. "Anyways, you could've just called and said you were sick." He walked over to his bed, tapping the spot next to him to signal for Tobio to sit with him.

"I forgot." Kageyama shrugged, plopping down next to the smiley boy. "So why are you back in the hospital?" He asked, a slight turn of uneasiness in his eyes. Hinata could sense that concern and worry, and normally he would hide what was truly happening but, Tobio made him feel safe.

He made him feel like everything would be okay.

"The doctor said I wasn't getting any better." Hinata sighed, dropping his head onto Kageyama's shoulder. Normally, this wouldn't be the type of news that would majorly worry the smaller boy. Mostly because he never cared that he'd die one day.

But this time, for some reason, he felt anxious when the doctor told him and his family that he wasn't showing any positive change.

"I thought you said you were getting better." Kageyama's tone was full of melancholy, as he felt the weight of Shoyo's head fall onto his body. It would be a lie if Tobio said he wasn't worried, because he was extremely concerned. He didn't want to lose someone he just caught.

"I told you all of those positive things so I wouldn't see that pitiful look in your eyes." Hinata admitted, "but there's no way I could hide those things from you anymore. After all, we're a couple now, so we'll go through it together!" He giddily smiled, squeezing Kageyama.

"You're so cheesy." Kageyama snickered, just placing his hand against Hinata's warm cheek.

We'll go through it together.

'Yeah we will.' He meekly smiled, leaning his head on top of Shoyo's.

Even though there were worries swarming inside of Kageyama's mind, it was like Shoyo's warmth burned them all away. Because he couldn't think of the negatives. All he could think of was ways to make more memories with the smaller boy.

Since Kageyama had a cold, both boys just decided to watch TV and chat inside of the room. They talked about how they would both still top each other in volleyball, and how they would both make it professional one day. It was what they both strived for. Especially Hinata. Since there was a chance he might not even make it past high school. But he didn't think of depressing things like that.

He was going to get better.
He was going to graduate.
He was going to play professional.

Most importantly...

He was going to spend the rest of his life with Tobio Kageyama.

Nothing would stand in his way.
Not even his sickness.

With that, he just found a new reason to keep on living.
