I constantly get questions about who people picture as Talulah and other characters. I didn't originally have a face claim for Talulah but as the story went on I found someone who really fit the character. I have had many conversations with other writers and it is important to see representation because plus sized main characters are so rare.
I get a lot of comments from readers saying that they imagine Ashley Graham (which again, I am not trying to police who you picture and imagine) and it clicked in my mind that there just isn't a lot of representation in the plus sized community. I've received a lot of messages saying that they feel seen and validated by Talulah's character, and I think it is equally important to see that in your everyday life.
So, I made up some character cards to show who I pictured as I was writing the story.
