1:15 pm Kalos Central Time, Vaniville Town

After walking out of the forest and successfully burying Tierno alive, Ash returned to the back of the Pokémon Center, where the battlefields are located. Fortunately for him, it appeared that nobody was there. It was just like how he and Tierno left it before leaving to chase after Greninja.

Ash currently had Tierno's Pokémon in his backpack. Unfortunately, Tierno's Pokémon were going to suffer thinking that their trainer vanished without a trace. The poor Pokémon will probably never know what happened to their trainer. Ash felt slight guilt rising in his chest, but then immediately shook it off. His eyes shined with a blue aura.

"No... this is what Tierno gets for loving my Serena... only I can love her!" Ash violently thought to himself and clenched a trembling fist tightly. 

Ash's eyes widened and he immediately held his head. Recently, it felt like he has been losing control over himself more often. He didn't know why he was acting the way he does, but for some reason, it felt... justified.

"Pika pi!"

Ash turned to his faithful starter Pokémon, who in return gave his trainer a determined nod. Pikachu, who was calmly perched on Ash's shoulder, was wondering what is next on Ash's agenda. Whatever it is, he is ready to play his part.

"Pika pi?" Pikachu squeaked with concern in his voice.

Ash shook his head and smiled at him "I'm fine, Pikachu. I was... just thinking about some stuff... about the future you know?" Ash reassured the electric mouse Pokémon.

"Pika." Pikachu nodded with understanding.

The raven-haired teenager thought back to how his life used to be before coming to Kalos. It was different. He never had a true goal before. He always thought that striving to become a Pokémon Master one day was his true goal, but meeting Serena again proved him wrong.

"Well, time to place my plan into motion before the others return."

"Okay, Pikachu. Here's the plan..." Ash started whispering into the electric mouse Pokémon's ear.

15 minutes later...

"Nurse Joy! Nurse Joy!" a frantic-sounding voice shouted out and rushed inside the Pokémon Center. Nurse Joy and a pair of Wigglytuff rushed out of the emergency room to investigate the sudden commotion at the Pokémon Center.

"What is it, child?" Nurse Joy asked with concern. The young boy suddenly showed up into the Pokémon Center and started making a lot of noise. "Please calm down and tell me what's wrong."

"T-there's a Pikachu o-outside a few yards away near the Pokémon Center! It-it might be dead!" the boy answered. His body was trembling and his eyes were tearing up.

Nurse Joy gasped and looked at her two Wigglytuff assistants with a worried expression. The two Wigglytuff seemed worried as well

"Please lead me to the Pikachu right away!" Nurse Joy requested with a determined look. Nurse Joy was determined to rescue that Pikachu no matter the costs.

The boy nodded and ran back out of the Pokémon Center, Nurse Joy and her Wigglytuff following pursuit. This caught the interest of everyone else in the Pokémon Center, so both people and Pokémon also ran out to see what the hell was going on. Moments later, the Pokémon Center was completely empty.
