KNOCK! KNOCK!

Kageyama continuously knocked on Shoyo's front door, waiting for someone to let them both in. He could hear footsteps tapping closer, and closer to the door. A woman with dark auburn hair ended up opening the door, her eyes filling with horror when she saw who Tobio was carrying.

"Please, come in!" Hinata's mother welcomed Kageyama in, rushing the taller boy up to Shoyo's room. Tobio already knew where the shorter boy's room was since he's been here countless times from when they both hung out together. 'Oh Shoyo, I told you to not work so hard!' She refrained from getting upset, feeling more concerned than angry.

"U-uh...he fainted at practice." Kageyama stammered, laying Hinata back on his bed. The taller boy was filled with confusion, not knowing what happened with the smaller boy. 'You dumbass...what aren't you telling me?" He felt so concerned, seeing the boy lay limp on his bed with his eyes closed. It was as if he was in a peaceful slumber.

"Thank you for bring him here, Tobio." Shoyo's mother sighed, coming into the room with a damp towel and two bottles of water. She gently placed the cold towel onto the shorter boy's forehead, also placing a bowl of water on the bedside table. She handed Kageyama a bottle, and placed the other on the floor.

That's when she saw them. Hinata's medication was there, sitting on the bedside table instead of in his medical bag. At first, she felt rage with the smaller boy, but then she imagined the amount of pain the orange haired boy was going through when he fainted.

"Well, I think I should be going." Kageyama quietly spoke, gathering all of his things. He didn't exactly know what was going on but, he felt like it was some kind of personal issue. Before he could leave, Hinata's mother stopped him.

"Tobio, it might be a lot to ask but, it'd be great if you could stay here." She sighed, pleading with the taller boy. "Shoyo would appreciate if one of his friends could be here when he woke up." She continued. Kageyama just looked at her with a bewildered expression on his face but, he did eventually agree to do it. "Thank you." She warmly smiled, exiting out of Shoyo's room.

"Hinata..." Kageyama spoke with apprehension in his voice, placing his hand against Hinata's cheek. He could feel the heat emitting from the smaller boy's skin, being able to feel his skin burning up.

Kageyama glanced over to Shoyo's bedside table, seeing the abundance of medications and needle serums just sitting out in the open. That's when he realized that whatever this was, it wasn't any type of cold or flu. He could feel his heart ache, knowing that he probably caused more stress for the smaller boy who was already probably going through enough of it. But than he remembered his conversation he had with Hinata at lunch.

"Would you change your actions toward me if I told you I was sick?"

"Nope."
"You're still going to be your annoying self, sick or not."

Even though it was supposed to be an insult, he caught a side glimpse of Hinata's smile when he said that. Maybe he didn't want to be treated like some helpless person, or treated any differently even though he was sick. I mean, who would, right?

"Somehow, I wish you trusted me enough to tell me.." Kageyama caressed Shoyo's relaxed face with his thumb. 'But, I understand why you didn't.' He sighed to himself, still resting his hand against Hinata's face with a mournful look.

Tobio stayed along Hinata's bedside, waiting for him to wake up. While he was waiting so solemnly, he ended up drifting off to sleep, his head falling near the smaller boy.

The next morning...

'Mmmph...where am I?' Hinata's eyes fluttered awake, as he sat up, rubbing the morning gunk off of them. He yawned, and his hand ended up falling onto something soft. 'KYAA! What...is this?' He questioned to himself, rustling his hand through the soft thing.

Shoyo looked down, getting a closer look of what his hand was rummaging through. Yeah, that's when he saw what he was touching.

"KAGEYAMA?!!" Hinata shrieked out of shock, waking Tobio, and making his head pound a bit more than it already was. Tobio yawned, groggily looking up at the smaller boy. He shortly forgot where he was for a second, but than he remembered the chaotic events that happened last night.

"Gee, pipe down. You're so loud you moron." Kageyama yawned again, not changing his attitude towards Hinata. Per the smaller boy's hidden wishes.

"W-Whattttt are you doing here?!" Hinata flushed out of embarrassment, slowly gaining more consciousness of where he was and who he was with. 'Agh, my head!' He held onto his pounding head, trying to stay quiet so the pain would go down.

"Are you okay?!" Kageyama worriedly got up, holding Hinata's small face into both of his hands. He just realized what he did when Shoyo looked up at him in perplexity.

"Kagey-"

"I'm just asking since you fainted in the middle of practice yesterday!" Tobio saved himself, reminding the smaller boy on what happened to him. Hinata was confused at first but, he eventually remembered the excruciating pain he felt in his body before blacking out. Plus, he just now realized that he was in his bed instead of the court floor.

"How did I-" Hinata wanted to ask but than, he saw that look in Kageyama's eyes that he was oh so tired of. "You know, don't you Kageyama?" He sighed, disappointingly burying his face into his own hands.

"Know what-" Kageyama tried to play it off, but he was cut off by the shorter boy.

"Don't play coy, Kageyama. You know about my illness, right?" Hinata coldly asked, realizing that all of his medications was laying out in the open. Shoyo looked at Tobio like he just found out something that the smaller boy was desperately hiding. Which... he did. "I'm begging you, please don't tell anyone!" He suddenly pleaded, rushing his whole body in towards Kageyama.

"It's your business, why would I tell anyone?" Kageyama reasonably assured the shorter boy. Hinata still looked worried about something, and the taller boy knew what. "Anyways, don't expect me to treat you specially only because you're sick." He blurted out towards Shoyo, catching him by surprise. Even though he was pretty worried and all, he didn't want to show it just for the orange haired boy's sake.

"Oh..right, thanks Kageyama!" Hinata showed the taller boy a bright, and genuine smile. Even though he knew that Tobio had to be somewhat worried, he figured that the taller boy hid it for his sake.

"Yeah, sure." A slight tint of blush spread across of Kageyama's face, seeing such a earnest smile spread across of Hinata's. Tobio just covered his own face, rushing to the bathroom. The smaller boy had just smiled, watching the taller boy exit the room.

'Yeah, thanks Kageyama.'
