Harsh sun rays shone through the skylight as the curtains manually raised above me. I looked over to where Carrie was sleeping and saw an empty space beside me. I grabbed the shirt at the end of the bed and a pair of shorts and made my way to the kitchen.

"Good morning!" Carrie beamed, one hand on the frying pan, another on a jug full of pancake mix.

"Morning." I smiled, "I see you're a morning person then?" I asked, sitting down at a stool by the island.

"When I can show off my cooking skills yes." She laughed as she flipped a pancake. "Did you sleep okay?"

"Yeah, it's nice when you're woken up by the sunlight from above you. God, this house is amazing." I stood up and started to look around. "If I could move here, I would."

"Well, nothing is stopping you from staying a few more days." Carrie smiled, serving the pancakes and walking to the dining table. Patting the chair beside her for me to come sit.

"Really? I mean, I would love to." I laughed, sitting beside her. "I just- really don't have anything I need. I think I have to get some stuff."

"You could, or if you wanted you could just keep borrowing my stuff. Besides, my clothes suit you." She smiled.

"Good, cause you're not getting these back." I joked. As we finished eating, I took the plates to the sink and Carrie showed me around the house. I really underestimated how big this house actually was, and how many rooms it had! By far, I loved the recording studio. There was something that I was drawn to in there and I kept coming back to it.

Once she had shown me around, the girls walked over and we went over the dance one more time to make sure we had it perfect.

"Okay, okay, so its.. Check it out, yeah, we make 'em say, 'Wow' " Kayla went slowly over the dance one more time, making sure she had the moves right.

"Perfect!" I smiled, high fiving her.

"Great!" She laughed.

"Okay, we should get ready and head to the rally soon, we wouldn't want to be late!" Carrie squealed with excitement. I didn't understand how people could see her as mean with the kindness she had shown me after only a few days.

We arrived at the school and went to the main hall to set up lights and the sound system. Finished the last bit of blocking, and before I knew it, people were flooding into the hall. I looked into the stands for Julie so I could focus on a familiar face but I couldn't see her. My nerves were overwhelming me, but Carrie came up behind me and softly turned me round by the shoulders.

"Hey, hey. Don't worry, you're gonna be great. You came up with this amazing dance, and don't tell the others I said this.. but you're the best dancer. Just have fun, and if you get nervous look at me okay?" She hugged me before we got into position and the music started up.

'Whoa, whoa...
Whoa, whoa...
See 'em look
Hear 'em, "Ooh aah"
Hands up, throw back, boo yah
We're the best, no doubt
Check it out, yeah, we make 'em say, "Wow"'

'Made moves
On the rise now
Run stuff, get a piece of that pie now
We're the best, no doubt
Check it out, yeah, we make 'em say, "Wow"
Yeah, we're going sky-high and we never gonna settle
Living in the fast lane, pedal to the metal
We see it, we want it
We get it, we got it
Everybody lose control'

I saw Julie come through the door with Flynn and shot them a quick smile as they watched from beside the stands.
