The judges, prosecutors, jurors, and even all those who were present to witness the trial looked shocked and confused. Once again, this brought the courtroom back with a whisper here and there. But the judges still looked surprised by Mr Kim's unusual request until the Prosecutor said, "And who will be prosecuted in the murder case?"

"Kim Han Bin." Mr Kim replied with his head held high and firm tone.

"Kim Han Bin? He was dead, what punishment can we give to a person who's dead? What we have to punish now is the culprit who commits the murder, sells drugs to poor kids. That's what we have to do. We have to enforce the law so that innocent people like poor children get justice." The prosecutor said with a disbelief look at Mr Kim. Meanwhile, the judges listened attentively.

"It's true as the prosecutor said. We can't punish a dead person, but we can still enforce justice for an innocent and unfortunate person, in this murder case is Lisander Manoban. Does the law now only apply to a few people? The Manoban family are also victims who need to get justice." Mr Kim's words came back to make people whisper.

Judge Lee seemed to have snapped out of this state of affairs so he knocked his hammer to calm the courtroom down.

"Can you explain what that case has to do with this case? And what do you want to achieve from this joint trial?" asked Judge Lee to Mr Kim.

"As I said before, the Prosecutor is too quick to draw conclusions. It is as if the suspect is planning the murder of Kim Han Bin. Which of course, will burden the suspect even more. I just want that before making a decision, we all understand the relationship between Kim Han Bin and Lisander Manoban. And like the prosecutor, I want the Manoban family to get justice too." Mr Kim put his every word clearly and firmly.

Judge Lee seemed hesitant before discussing with 2 other judges on his right and left. After a while, they straightened themselves back into their seats.

"Prosecutor, do you agree to this joint trial?" asked Judge Lee to Prosecutor Song.

Prosecutor Song glanced at Mr Kim, who showed a stern expression. He seemed to want to find something on Mr Kim's face.

"Doesn't matter. I agree." Prosecutor Song replied after a moment of silence. I could hear a little doubt in his voice.

"Alright then. Joint Trial submitted by attorney Kim was approved. This trial will be widened with 2 cases, namely the murder of Kim Han Bin by the suspect Lisander Manoban and the alleged murder of Mr and Mrs Manoban by Kim Han Bin. The trial was postponed for 1 hour to prepare for it." Judge Lee validated his decision by striking the hammer once before exiting the courtroom followed by another judge.

As soon as the Judges left the courtroom, the atmosphere became chaotic. I heard Rosie calling me but the police immediately pulled me from my place and took me outside followed by Mr Kim. I glanced briefly at her. Her face is sad, her nose is red. She was hugged by Jisoo from the side. And I got to see Jennie. She's like the others, just staring at me. Perhaps they were all, like everyone else in the courtroom, shocked by the progress of the trial.
