8:21 am Kalos Central Time, Vaniville Town

Serena spent around half an hour in the bathroom thinking about the dream she just had about her and Ash. It felt so real to her, everything down to the flirting, the actions, and feelings. It just made her more thirsty for Ash. She secretly wondered if Ash would be that rough with her in real life.

When Serena walked downstairs, she found Clemont, Bonnie, Tierno, Trevor, Shauna, and Calem were already sitting at the table having breakfast. Her mother, Grace was in the kitchen preparing a couple of things for the Pokémon for them to eat.

The room was filled with a luscious and delicious smell, most likely coming from Grace's cooking. There were pastries, berries, baguettes, and smoothies.

Serena noticed the absence of a certain raven-haired boy and decided to ask the group about it.

"Hey, Serena. I saved a seat for you." Calem said as he pulled out a chair next to him. Unfortunately for the black-haired teenager, Serena walked past him in favor of another seat next to the girls.

"Good morning everyone. Where's Ash?" Serena asked as she grabbed a seat next to Shauna at the dining table.

"Ugh... Why is she always thinking about Ash..." Calem quietly grumbled, his face fuming with anger. Fortunately for him, nobody seemed to have heard them as they were focusing on Serena's question.

"Really Serena? It's early in the morning and you ask where Ash is the moment he is missing? How obvious can you get?" Shauna said with a giggle. Serena blushed in response.

"I thought he was sleeping with you girls last night." Tierno pointed out with a confused face, while pouring himself a glass of juice. "So is he not in the room anymore?"

"No, when I woke up. Both him and Pikachu were gone." Serena replied.

"Serena, you don't have to worry about him too much. He can take care of himself. He most likely went out for morning training with his Pokémon like he typically does." Clemont speculated.

"Don't tell me when to not worry about my Ash!" Serena snapped at the lemon-haired teenager. However, she quickly realized what she shouted out and covered her mouth out of embarrassment.

"Your Ash, huh," Grace said, while placing a plate of pancakes down on the table. "So when are you going to make your move?"

Serena blushed a crimson red color. "I-I d-don't know..." Serena stuttered. She tried to hide her blush, but failed. She looked around the table and everyone, except Calem, had smirks and knowing grins. They all knew about Serena's crush on Ash. Probably even love at this point.

"Well, maybe you should forget about that idiot and move on, Serena. I mean, he does seem too dense to realize anything about the concept of love." Calem said.

Serena looked down at the floor. He has got a point. However, it seemed that Ash was getting less dense recently. Serena was about to respond to Calem, but suddenly the backdoor opened, revealing a certain raven-haired teenager.

"Good morning, everyone." Ash casually greeted as he walked into the house through the back sliding window. Pikachu jumped off his shoulder to go eat some food. He noticed a bottle of ketchup, so he decided to swipe it when nobody was looking.

"Ash, where have you been?" Serena asked with concern in her voice.

Ash smirked. "Oh? Miss me already?"
