My Nightmare

Chapter 22

The bomb that I was afraid of has exploded, but beyond my expectations. The damage was far more severe than I expected.

This happened on a Friday night, 2 weeks after my accidental discovery of Lisander's workplace at a café with Tzuyu.

Jisoo called me, and with a cry and a panicked voice, she told me that Chaeyoung was hospitalized after being attacked when she went to the supermarket on foot.

I immediately took my car out and picked up Jisoo, who was certainly in her current state, would not be able to drive. Once in the car, Jisoo called Jimin oppa and Park auntie to tell them.

I asked how Jisoo found out, and she said that she got a call from the hospital. I drove quickly but carefully because I did not want to be harmed and made us also hospitalized.

Arriving at the hospital, without caring, I parked the car sideways. We ran to find Chaeyoung.

"Chaeyoung. Park Chaeyoung was just taken to an emergency room," Jisoo asked as soon as we got to the ER reception.

The nurse read the file at a glance.

"Kim Jisoo?" asked the nurse, and Jisoo immediately nodded.

"Ms Park is under treatment. Please wait in the waiting room," she said, comforting Jisoo and me, who looked panicked.

"Don't worry, Ms Park's wound is not severe. The doctor just needs to examine and make sure," continued the nurse and we nodded weakly then sat in the indicated waiting room.

Not long after, Jimin oppa along with Taehyung oppa and auntie Park came rushing and looked worried like we were just a moment ago. They saw us and immediately approached us, who immediately stood up and hugged auntie Park who was crying.

"What happened?" she asked, weeping.

"We still don't know, auntie. The nurse said Chaeng's injuries were not severe and is now being treated by doctors. We were told to wait here," I replied because Jisoo obviously couldn't answer because she hugged Auntie, and they were crying. I also cried, but still managed to pull myself together.

Auntie just nodded. After a while, she released her hug from Jisoo and sat down and leaned on Jimin oppa, who hugged her from the side while stroking her back to calm his mother.

Jisoo and I returned to our seats to wait some more. But before we could sit down, a doctor left the ER.

"Park Chaeyoung's family?" she asked and looked around the waiting room.

We immediately rushed to the doctor.

"We are Park Chaeyoung's family," replied Jimin oppa.

The doctor looked at us one by one then began to speak. "Ms Park was assaulted and had several injuries. Luckily, there were no internal injuries. What caught our attention was the impact wound on the back of her head, and we have done a CT scan and are awaiting the results. Additionally, the victim's mental state is the next concern, so I suggest that Ms Park can stay in the hospital for one night to monitor her condition and wait for the CT scan results to see if there is internal bleeding in her head," the doctor explained.
