My Nightmare

Chapter 20

Monday comes, and I prepare myself to face Lisander. I will know which attitude I have to take when I see him. Fortunately, he, my nightmare, able to diverted my mind from the problems that gripped me. And as he said, talking and sharing it with others makes my heart lighter.

I've sat with the others at our usual table and stare at his table. But he was not there, the table still unoccupied. Usually, he came later than us. I ate and followed the conversation but turned again to look at the table occasionally, and it was still empty.

Hmm... Is he late than usual? I thought, glancing at my watch silently. I don't want to be questioned. Maybe a few more minutes.

But until lunchtime over and the class start, I didn't see him. Didn't he eat lunch today? But he always eating lunch because I know he's supposed to have class this afternoon.

Maybe I'll bump into him in the hallway.

But my guess was wrong. I didn't see him at all today. So I just thought, maybe tomorrow. I'll see him tomorrow and just know what attitude I will take.

But once again, my hopes and plans failed because I didn't see him again at lunchtime and neither in the hallway nor the next day.

It's Wednesday but I still didn't see him.

"Chu. Are you in the same class with Lisander today?" I asked quietly at Jisoo, who was sitting in front of me. From the look on her face, she was quite surprised but she answered me.

"There is one this morning. But he didn't attend college since Monday. Because he was also not present in our class that day," Jisoo replied, as quietly as I was. She knew I didn't want the others to hear it even though Chaeyoung seemed to hear us because she sat next to Jisoo and looked up at us.

"Do you know why?" Yes, Chaeyoung heard it and now she asks Jisoo too in a low voice.

"I don't know, I tried to send a message, but he didn't reply. I haven't tried calling him," Jisoo answered.

I want him to find out because somehow I'm very curious.

"... Jennie" I didn't have time to ask furthermore when Irene called my name.

"Wh... What?" I asked.

"You didn't listen to our conversation?" she asked.

"Sorry, I'm not listening. What are you talking about?" I replied with a smile.

"Seulgi said that she saw Kai, Taemin, and Sehun with bruises on the faces. The three of them," Irene replied.

"What? Three of them?" I was surprised and looked at Taehyung oppa, who looked back at me.
