(Y/N) browsed along the spines of books as she looked for something new to read. She smiled softly to herself, listening as Cho and Izaka quietly argued about the book they had all agreed to read this month. (Y/N) had already finished the book and was waiting for her friends to finish reading it before she joined their discussion. She grabbed a small pile of books before she walked to the table that her friends sat at.

"She obviously ends up with Heathcliff." Cho hissed.

"Why would she end up with Heathcliff? He abandoned her, not to mention she said some pretty harsh things to him. She'll end up with Linton." Izaka quietly hissed.

"He's such a bore though." Cho rolled her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest.

"And? He's rich and has a home and protection, it's the best answer."

"Clearly, you don't know the power of love in these books." Cho pouted "you should know by now that every book character ever will make the decision to follow their heart."

"A horrible decision really."

"You don't think people should follow their hearts?"

Izaka took a moment to think over the question, his eyes tracing over to (Y/N). She could feel his gaze on her, but she chose to keep her eyes on her book. "I guess, but in the times this book was based, they didn't have much of a choice."

Cho sighed softly in annoyance, rubbing her temple. "You're so dumb sometimes."

"I am not!" The librarian hissed at the teens to be quiet, which they complied.

(Y/N) couldn't help but giggle at her friends for being scolded. She felt a hand rest against the back of her chair, startling her a little. As she looked to see who the hand belonged to, she saw the familiar face that she had become accustomed to. Kita stared at the page that she was reading, showing slightly confusion.

"Hello Kita-san." (Y/N) interrupted his train of thought, causing a pink hue to show on his cheeks. "How can I help you?"

"Oh um..." He moved his arm from the chair, his eyes falling to the floor. "I came over to say hello, but was distracted by the book you were reading. I didn't want to disturb you..."

(Y/N) gestured for the boy to sit with her, which he obeyed, sitting in the chair next to her. She moved the book in between the two, her eyes falling back to the page. Kita had gotten what she was suggesting, to which he complied, his eyes traveling along the pages. The two silently read together, the only sound was coming from Cho and Izaka continuing to argue over the relationships in Wuthering Heights.

"Kita-san, when did you get here?" Izaka finally asked, his brows furrowed in confusion.

"We've been reading for 20 minutes." (Y/N) smiled softly to her two friends, to which Kita gave a slightly awkward wave to them both.

"I came here to ask if Suagwara-san wanted to come watch our practice match after school, but I didn't want to interrupt her reading." Kita announced, to which the table became quiet. (Y/N)'s cheeks darkened.

"If you want me to, I can." A slight smile showed on his face to her response.

"Alright, I'll see you at practice then." Kita stood up, looking to her two friends. "You are both welcome if you want to watch."

Izaka's face brightened slightly at the idea. "We'll be there!" Kita waved them off before leaving, the table had become silent in confusion.

"Did... Kita just ask you out?" Cho began.

"I don't think he did. He probably wanted to invite me as a thank you for the bento box."

"But he gave you a bento box in return, didn't he?" Cho tilted her head.
