Chapter 3

JENNIE POV

"That loser deserves to be beaten," he said cheerfully. I furrow my brows. Even though I hated Lisander, I never liked violence.

I didn't respond to Kai and looked back at the front and realized that Jisoo and Chaeyoung stopped walking and looked at Kai. Jisoo looked at him with furrowed brows. Looks like her thoughts are the same as mine. As for Chaeyoung, she glared and angry and hates Kai? I've never seen her like this.

I met Chaeyoung when we were in 2nd grade at Junior High School. She was adopted by the Park family after her parents died in an accident. At first, she didn't talk much and tended to be in her own world. Maybe she was still hurt from the sudden loss of her parents, who wouldn't. She does not open up and makes no effort to make friends with anyone. But because she is Jimin's adoptive sister, Jisoo and I never gave up and tried to be friends with her until finally, one year later, Chaeyoung began to open up and accept us. After getting to know her more deeply, I knew she was a kind and gentle girl. Just like me, she also doesn't like violence. During our 6 years of friendship, not once did I saw her ever get angry or look at other people the way she looks at Kai now.

Chaeyoung didn't speak but immediately turned around and walked quickly, leaving us. Jisoo immediately caught up with her.

The fight between Daniel and Jihyo became a hot topic this morning. Now everyone knows that Jihyo uses Lisander's service. In the hallway, in the classroom, wherever they gathered, the names Lisander, Jihyo, and Daniel were always mention. Even in this toilet, they talk about it. After finished doing my needs, I immediately got out of the toilet and headed to my first class. I asked Kai not to accompany me to my class and told him to go straight to his class.

While walking down the hallway to my first class today, I was surprised to see Chaeyoung coming out of the clinic. She didn't see me and rushed in the same direction as me in a hurry. What's she doing in the clinic? Is she sick? But why is she alone? Didn't Jisoo catch up with her earlier? Chaeyoung is indeed weak since young, and I'm worried about her. I ran to catch up with her.

"Chaeng!" I exclaimed. She stopped and turned to face me.

"Jennie?" she was shocked.

"I saw you come out of the clinic, are you sick?" I asked, worriedly.

She seemed like she didn't expect me to see her and became a little panicked. Her face was pale, but she seemed to get over herself right away.

"Oh. N... no. I'm not sick," Why is she stammering and seemingly avoiding my eyes?

"Then why did you go to the clinic?" I asked.

"Um... Um... I... I um... I just asked for a tampon. Yes. I just asked for a tampon," she said, finally glanced at my eyes but immediately diverted them again.
