"Nature never did betray the heart that loved her." Wordsworth
Dapple Me
by sloanranger
I want to drink in streams again,
of water clean and pure,
from lakes and brooks and hollowed nooks -
glens and glades obscure.
I want the sun to dapple me,
in a quiet wood,
through the leaves of ancient trees
time alone's withstood.
To play upon my hair, my face,
Warm my inner joy...
And I want you to come with me...
my bashful, green-eyed boy.
