COTE Spies {Discontinued}

Chapter 1

Location: Tokyo, Japan
At the Agency Third Person POV

It was 6 in the morning but this was the time that Horikita got up. She needed to start her day early so she can be the first one in the classroom.

In the agency all spies under 18 have to attend lessons on various espionage skills and basic subjects such as Science, Math, ELA, and Social Studies. This will help them perform better during missions.

Currently they only have classes on Tuesday and Thursday and if they are on an operation they'll have to complete the work within a span of 2 weeks. This is what they had to go through throughout their time.

They all learned the same curriculum and all at a considerably fast pace considering that they are in the top 3 generation classes the agency has had. (Amasawa is one year younger than them but joined their class due to her classmates dying on an operation).

Horikita POV
I woke up and went straight to the bathroom to take a bath and get ready for class today. While I was in the bath I was thinking about the latest operation that occurred and realized how poorly I performed.

During the negotiations I had no chance of reaching a firm agreement since it was a dummy boss.

Even though Ryuuen used a cruel way to win he completely outsmarted me by using all means necessary.

I got out the bath and decided to make a light but nutritious breakfast and then I'll brush my teeth and head out for the classroom.
*15 minutes later*

I made my way to the building where the classes were located and nothing out of the ordinary occurred. I arrived at the classroom and sat in my usual seat and took out a book to read.

It was called "Spy x Family" (I highly recommend) and was about a man who was an agent making a family to proceed with his operation. I found it interesting in some aspects and proceeded to read until class started.

"Good morning Horikita-san" "Good morning Ichinose-san, your earlier than usual." "I could say the same." she responded. That wasn't the case as I usually arrived at this time but she wouldn't know as she was with agents from other years.

"Horikita-san what are you reading?" she asked. "I wouldn't think that concerns you Ichinose-san." I replied sternly. "Horikita-san you should open up more for a long time you only talk to Ayanokoji-kun and talk to us if your replying to a comment or if we're talking about spy matters." she said.

"Yes that is the case but is it really necessary to talk to you people and you should know that I only talk to Ayanokoji-kun because he is my partner." she should've known this but proceeded to bring up him, was there a special meaning behind this?

No. Ichinose-san wouldn't try and do things like that she just really wants me to open up to her. And realizing I talk to one person about non-spy things nonetheless someone of the opposite gender must have made her wary.

The agency works in a partnership system where each agents has a partner they work with here is how it looks like for the main cast:
-Ayanokoji and Horikita (this does not mean this is the main relationship)
-Kamuro and Sakayanagi
-Ryuuen and Hiyori
-Amasawa and Kouenji
-Ichinose and Kushida
Being a partner with someone doesn't necessarily mean you go on all your missions with them but they are the person you go on the most missions with.
