This isn't Bad, Right?

When the battle was finally over, I was able to open my eyes again. The city was safe from Grimm and Roman was arrested.

But I was nowhere near out of the woods. Ian took me to Ozpin's office where I was scolded by Glynda.

"What on earth were you thinking? You could've gotten yourself killed!" She said. "I'm very sorry," I apologized. "I just wanted to see Ruby and Yang."

"Hey, where's your Beowolf?" Ian asked. "I... I don't know. After we made it out of the mines, he just suddenly vanished." I explained.

The elevator door dinged and Shadow came bursting out. He tackled me to the floor, licking my face all over. "Gah, stop it, Shadow! That tickles!" I said between giggles.

"Oh, brother." Ian said while rolling his eyes. I nudged Shadow off of me and stood to my feet. "Where did you run off to, Shadow? You had me worried." I mentioned while petting his head.

"What do you mean?" Ian asked. "Shadow was with Ruby and Yang when they found me in the mines. All of a sudden, he was gone." I explained.

"He missed you." Ozpin chuckled. "Anyway," Ian spoke. "Professor, why don't we run some tests on the kid?"

"You're gonna make me a lab rat?!" I panicked. "Not like that, you moron. For some reason, the Grimm won't attack you, even when you're spewing negativity such as fear or stress. So, we've gotta figure out why that is, and I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with your theory about fight or flight."

I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest, pouting like a child. "Well, what if I don't want to do these tests?" I asked, stubbornly.

Ian, Ozpin, and Glynda looked at me when I said that. "What if I don't want to know the reason behind it? Besides, this isn't a bad thing, right?"

"No, this isn't anything bad, Lily," Ozpin confirmed. "But it's concerning why you're the only one who can tame these creatures."

"But I can't. The only "creature" I can tame is Shadow," I claimed. "Wait, are you saying I can control Grimm Creatures?"

"It's a possibility." Ozpin informed. "That's so cool!" I exclaimed, excitedly. "No, it's not, Shrimp." Ian denied.

"It's not? How come?"

"Because if you really can control Grimm-"

"Ian." Ozpin stopped him, seemingly knowing where Ian was going with his sentence.

"I'm just saying, Professor. How do we know she won't just use her ability to attack people or something like that?" Ian assumed.

"I highly doubt that, Mr. Hyde." Ozpin said. "Yeah! I would never hurt my family or the people I care about," I stated.

"Like I said, this isn't going to be a bad thing. So, I say we test Ian's Grimm theory and head to Emerald Forest to see what kind of Grimm I can tame and/or control!"

"I agree. Tomorrow." Ozpin said. "Tomorrow?" I repeated. "Yeah, tomorrow sounds good." Ian agreed with a yawn. "Why tomorrow?" I asked.

"Because I think we can agree it's been a long day." Ozpin mentioned. "But I'm not tired! I'm bursting with energy!" I stated.

"Yeah, because you're not the one who had to fight Grimm. So, let's start this test run tomorrow." Ian said.

"Aw, okay." I agreed. "Get some rest, you two." Ozpin said. We left his office and headed to our room.

Once we were there, Ian flopped onto his bed with a tired sigh. I sat down on my bed while Shadow sat near the end.

"You're not nervous about tomorrow?" Ian asked, his eyes closed. His voice sounded tired, like he was about to fall asleep at any second.

"Nervous? Maybe a little. But overall, I'm excited! I can't wait!" I giggled. "Uh-huh... You know, for a childish and stubborn kid... you're not so bad..." Ian said, and he was sound asleep.

"You're not so bad yourself. Even if you can be a jerk at some times." I grinned.
