In a vlive earlier this week, the EQUINOX girls were asked who their number one pick on OVERTHROW was. Though each girl gave an answer, fans latched on to maknae LILI's response in particular.
Sour fans claimed that LILI seemed "too happy" when talking about her pick, SEUNGGI, and assumed that the two were in a secret relationship. Out of spite, some began trending the hashtag "#NOVOTESFORSEUNGGI" encouraging fellow STARLIGHTS to vote for any trainees other than SEUNGGI in hopes of ruining his chances of debut and increasing chances of the suspected couple splitting up. They've even gone as far as to manufacture bullying rumors about his past to get other people to stop supporting him.
Many STARLIGHTS were shocked that a small, possessive minority of their fandom was able to take things this far, and have encouraged MIDNIGHT to release a statement on these recent developments to protect both LILI and SEUNGGI.

EQUINOX'S LILI did a solo vlive last night. Though she started off normally—answering fan's questions about how she's been, talking about spending time with her family, and hopes to visit FRANCE again soon—it was clear that there was something on her mind.
Ten minutes into a live she read a comment out loud: "Is it true that you and SEUNGGI are dating?"
The young idol immediately shut down the rumors, seeming visibly distressed as she spoke. LILI claims that she's never even met SEUNGGI in-person, and that she was simply trying to encourage a company mate in OVERTHROW. She apologized for the rumors, and begged fans not to ruin SEUNGGI's chances of debuting because of them.
