A few days later I start packing. I actually convinced my parents to let me go :) shocking, I know.
My room is a mess as I'm going through every drawer, seeing what needs packing and what does not. I pack a bunch of clothes, sanitary products and essentials, my laptop and chargers, portable charger, hair brush and hairspray because I can't live without it, and the shampoo that i've been using for the past 6 years lmao and all the necessary documents like my passport etc.
I call Griffin and we all arranged to meet at the airport. My parents drive me there and we say our goodbyes. I'm so nervous but hey, I get to meet slipknot soon. Geesus I'm so excited. We sit at the airport until our flight gets called out. I link arms with Griffin (because I don't want to get lost, plus he doesn't mind it) as we walk towards our plane platform.
We have our passports checked and we board the plane. God I'm so nervous.. wtf!
*time skip because plane rides are so boring*
As soon as we land, there are 2 security guards ready to escort us out of the airport and to our ride to wherever we are meeting corey I guess. We drive for about an hour before we come to a stop outside a big house. I'ts very pretty, the garden is well looked after and the house looks brand new, theres a dog barking in the distance somewhere as well. Interesting.
I guess Griffin senses how nervous I am as he puts an arm around me and gives me a reassuring smile, God that smile lowkey makes me weak.
We all sit on a couch as Corey walks in.
"i didn't expect you guys to be here for at least another hour," typical Corey lmao.
He brings us all something to drink then calls up the rest of the band to come over. About 30 minutes of talking and getting to know Corey, the doorbell rings and the men walk in. I get introduced to each one of them, one by one.
"That's Shawn, Sid, Mick, Craig, Paul, Chris, Jim..." we all exchange a small 'hello',
"... and that's Joey, hes our new drummer" Holy fuck- hes so mesmerising. What is this, love at first sight? Geesus Way hes bloody gorgeous I don't even-
