7. As Time Goes By

A/N so as we leave the Red Bull era and head towards present day I just wanted to say a few things.

First of all, it's a world without Covid. No Russian Haas driver, replaced him with Nico Hulkenberg.

Also, going to get smutty eventually. Don't want to keep giving warnings. It's mature themes so yeah, to be expected.

Also, not going to follow 2021 results as don't want to have to wait so long to write. And to be frank, Bahrain still too painful to think about.Anyway, goodbye Red Bull Seb.

And lastly, Charlotte will be referred to as Lottie from now on.

Lottie wiped the tears from her face as she read the article. So Seb was a married man. Hadn't took him long. It was only just two months since he had been kissing her.

That was it then. Part of her had been hoping he would come and find her, tell her it had all been a big mistake. That it was her he wanted. But no, he really was lost to her. Time to move on. Forget him. She had her new life now. Put Sebastian Vettel in the past where he belonged.

Seb felt the tears rolling down his face. Celestine had lost the baby. He was heartbroken for her, for himself, for the family they should have been. But he was also mad at the world. He had given up the chance of happiness to do the right thing, and his family had been snatched from him. It was too late to go after Lottie now. He couldn't abandon Cel anyway. She needed him more than ever.

So he used all his anger, all his frustration and heartbreak. He poured it all into his racing. Everyone was praising him. He sealed the title with three races to spare, winning every single race after he had lost Lottie . He was a 4 time world champion and still only 26 years old. But it meant nothing to him.
