𝐘𝐄-𝐑𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌, tears endlessly falling as she gripped onto the first aid kit for dear life. Seok-Hoon sat on her bed, unable to move in fear another sharp pain may arose.
Just a few minutes ago, she had been peacefully studying in the community room. Dressed in silk pajamas as she was prepared to head up to bed, eyes growing droopy── the calm before the storm as some would say.
That was until Seok-Kyung burst through the doors, a terrified expression visible. Ye-Rin grew concerned as she rose to her feet quickly making her way to her friend, she had tried to usher her to take a seat to rest but was stopped by the twin as she had an urgent message to convey.
" Seok-Hoon he── Seok-Hoon, " the girl tried to push out her words but it had seemed to catch at her throat. Ye-Rin froze, a cold sweat broke out as her mind began swirling with infinite thoughts of what she was going to say.
" Seok-Hoon what? " The girl spoke in fear, she was anxious and afraid. " What happened to Seok-Hoon, Seok-Kyung? " Her tone now much louder than before, the twin tugged her sleeve in desperation before looking at her with pleading eyes.
" Save him, please save my brother. " She choked out, " dad took him into the secret room again. " Seok-Kyung spoke as tears began pouring out like a river.
Ye-Rin's heart dropped. Her eyes faltered and quivered as they too grew glossy, they remained in their position for a moment before the girl acted quick.
" Bring him to my room, you know the password. I'll get the first aid kit, " Ye-Rin instructed but Seok-Kyung stood unresponsive. Growing impatient, she held onto bother her shoulders and shook them until she snapped out of her meltdown. " Seok-Kyung, get your head straight. Bring your brother into my room, got it? " The twin nodded her head in a daze before following what she said.
𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄, her boyfriend was already there in an almost unconscious state. Her chest tightened at the sight at him but couldn't bare to look away, she quietly shut the door behind her, not wanting to awake her parents.
Seok-Hoon slowly turned his head to her direction and Ye-Rin almost broke down right there and then, he looked like he was in so much pain and she couldn't even begin to fathom how much he had been dealing with and how much pressure he had on his shoulders.
A thumb caressed her cheek wiping her tears away, breaking the girl out of her thought. She sat beside him on her bed as their eyes locked, he pulled her towards him allowing their foreheads to touch as Ye-Rin wrapped her arms around his neck afraid if she touched anywhere else he'd flinch from the pain.
" I'm okay, " he assured but his girlfriend didn't buy it. She shook her head before pulling apart and opening the first aid kit ready to treat his wounds but paused when Seok-Hoon remained staring at her, this time with questioning eyes.
" Well, lift up your shirt. " Ye-Rin said nonchalantly, but couldn't hide the fact that red began creeping up towards her cheeks.
" W-what? " He spoke in a flustered tone, the girl tilted her head, an innocent look taking over as her doe eyes now red from crying.
" I need to treat your wounds, so. . . Lift up your shirt, " her voice slowly disappearing at the end. Seok-Hoon looked away shyly before slowly lifting up his black tank top.
Ye-Rin uncapped the tube and squeezed out a little bit of medicine onto her finger before applying it onto his cuts, he flinched from the sudden burn but tried his best to endure it.
" I'm sorry, " he muttered breaking the comfortable silence. " You always bother yourself with all my problems and help me with all these things, " the boy explained, a pang of guilt suddenly hitting him.
She had always been so selfless and always placed him before herself, there had been one time especially where he came knocking on her door in the middle of the night after another of his father's beatings. His girlfriend had hastily unlocked the door to find a nearly passed out Seok-Hoon at her doorstep, it's commotion had also woken up her mother and together, the both of them treated and taken care of him until the sun rose the next day.
" Don't say that, " she responded. Her words had nothing underneath, no hidden meaning nor any layers to peel back. " I mean it, you are one of the most important people in my life and I love you. . . Every piece of you, whether they're good or bad, I'll still love you. " Ye-Rin firmly stated through her calm voice.
Seok-Hoon froze, he felt as if his heart could explode. His ears began glowing bright red as his eyes watered from happiness, in an instant, he turned around and encased her petite body in a tight hug, burying his head into her hair.
" Don't move too much, you're still injured. " She scolded but in response, he buried his head deeper into her hair, inhaling the familiar scent of flowers. Ye-Rin sighed in defeat before wrapping her arms around him and pulling him onto the bed and pulling her blanket over them. " Get some sleep for tomorrow, " she mumbled tiredly.
He hummed in acknowledgement and pressed on more quick kiss on her lips.
" Goodnight, " they fell asleep that night in each other's arms. Protectively guarding one another from harms way.
