As I left the restroom, I noticed the grand room was emptying out.

Most of the guests have filed out of the museum and getting into their fancy cars and limos. Strong, burly security guards built a wall to prevent the nosy paparazzi from venturing closer to the 1%.

As I reached the top of the steps of the museum, I tried looking for Dante to no avail.

"Hi there stranger." A familiar voice greeted me.

"Luke!" I smiled in relief. "Good job today! I did not know you were an auctioneer."

"I took over for my uncle who was sick today. I guess I learnt it all from him."

"That is so cool. Why did none of this come up yesterday." I questioned.

"I thought it would be a really dorky thing to say." He laughed nervously.

"No, no its super cool."

"So, I see you came with Mr De Luca." Luke's smile dropped slightly.

"Yeah. Its a work thing." I replied dismissively.

I did not want to even think about him.

"Looks more like a date than a work thing."

I turned to Luke, horrified, "No, no. We just pretended to be one so that it would be easier to explain to people."

Luke nodded knowingly.

"Well, I guess thats a good thing. Because I don't want to be the one to break it to you." Luke grimaced.

"What?"

I followed his gaze, squinting slightly. My heart dropped as I saw Dante in the limo with Minthe. Dante had an arm around her shoulders. Both had their heads close together, laughing.

"Oh. That's a shame. I came here with him." I said, trying to play it off despite the cool sting I could feel in my eyes.

"I can give you a ride back. Although its not a fancy car or a limo."

Even with my heart shattering, I smiled at his boyish smile. I followed Luke through the crowd and to the side of the museum. By a quiet street, he started his Brough Superior Anniversary.

I whistled lowly, depressing thoughts of Dante and Minthe immediately disappearing. Luke gave me a black helmet before putting his on. I raised an eyebrow questioningly.

Luke seemed to have realised my suspicion. He laughed, "I did not plan this, don't worry. I have a younger sister and I usually gives her rides. So I just started bringing an extra helmet wherever I go now."

He started the engine and hopped onto the sleek black motor. Joy filled my lungs as I hopped behind him. The vibration of the engine leaving me excited for us to start riding.

Luckily, my dress was loose enough for me to sit on the bike comfortably. I gripped the bike with my thighs, stabilising myself.

I gave a quick thumbs up to Luke and he kicked off the kickstand. He revved the engine and we were off.

As we met a stoplight, Luke pulled his visor up.

"Where do you stay?" He yelled over the noisy traffic.

Making a quick decision, I replied, "Let's not let the night end. Let's go to Lux!"

This time, Luke gave me a thumbs up before changing course.
