landyn pov: friday came around way quicker than i thought. before i knew it, it was already 5 pm and ja said he would come get me from my dorm at 7:30. he told me to dress casual, so i took a shower, shaved, and put on some bath and body works 'champagne toast' lotion and body spray.
i wore a white cami with a black jean jacket over it. some black ripped jeans and some jordan 1's (shattered blackboard 3.0)
i didn't do to much make up. i did my eyebrows and put some vaseline on my lips
(a/n: idk about y'all but i ABSOLUTELY DESPISE LIP GLOSS. i would way rather use vaseline🧍🏾♀️)
i sprayed myself with a little bit more perfume and but on a necklace and some bracelets. i sat on my vanity scrolling on tik tok waiting for ja to be here
"OUUUUU YOU LOOK FINE ASF LEMME GET YO NUMBER" kiya said walking into my room
"aye bruh chill with that gay shit but thank you bestieee" i said with a smile on my face
sooner or later i heard a knock at my door. i grabbed my purse. applied some more vaseline and opened the door
"hey" i said nervously
"wassup" he said holding his hand out for me to grab
"you ready to go?" he asked
i nodded my head and we walked down to his car
i ain't gon lie he was looking mighty fine

"not you tryna match me" i said noticing that we had the same shoes on
"naww it's more like you tryna match ME" he said putting emphasis on the "me"
we got in the car and he drove off
"where you taking me?" i asked. because he never officially told me where we was going out
"it's a surprise, you'll see"
"bruh you know good and well that i don't like surprises"
"i knowww but just work wimme, i promise you'll like it" he said dragging out the "know"
after about 7 or so minutes we pulled up to a dave and busters. and he knows i love dave and busters.
it was kinda a win win situation cause we could eat there too.
we decided to eat first, then play games.
i got some shrimp pasta and he got some basic ass chicken tenders.
i was about to pay for my meal when this negro literally snatched my card out my hand.
"uhn uhn, when you with me, you not spending money"
"brooooo" i said cause he was sounding mad cheesy, but it was cute tho
"watch yo mouth lil girl, i ain't yo bro"
"stfu" i mumbled
"what you say i couldn't hear you?" he said being extra af
i didn't respond
"yea that's what i thought"
i rolled my eyes but turned to the side so he couldn't see me
after we finished eating, we started playing games
we played all sorts like a life size connect four, that one motorcycle game where you can actually ride the motor cycle, laser tag, and some other shooting game.
it was starting to get late and ja wanted to end on one of the basketball games
so we played it.
"ian letting you win this one" he said putting a token in his game
"ok let's see about that" i said. even though i knew good and well he was gon mop my ass
he ended up winning like i said earlier
with all our tickets that we won, he bought me a teddy bear out of the prize shop. it's was cute :)
"what's the bears name" he asked me
"idc you choose"
"how about ja jr"
"boy gtfo, just name it teddy" i laughed
"UGHHH you so lame" he said dramatically
we walked out of dave and busters, i put the bear in his backseat. we then drove back to campus and started walking to our dorms
"imma walk you to your room" he said, breaking the silence
"okay" i said smiling
then we made it to my room
"thank you for tonight ja, it was fun" i said cheesing
"anytime baby"
"dont calling me that" i said turning around so he couldn't see my smile
"you know you like it tho" he said lifting my chin up
we stood there for what seemed like hours staring into each other's eyes
then he leaned in
so i leaned in
then my phone rang
it was my mom. she didn't even want anything and she interrupted a great moment.
i guess ja realised i was talking to my mom so he grabbed my phone from me and starting carrying a full on conversation with my mom
"HEYY MAMA" he said beaming
"JA IS THAT YOU? i know your voice from anywhere"
they talked about random stuff then they hung up
"i'm getting tired, but thanks again ja"
he reached his arms out for a hug. then leaned in.
and actually succeeded and kissing me this time.
i kissed back. and that's when i knew i had caught feelings for him again...
