You had friends. You really did. You're not alone anymore. At least not for the time being. Even if it was for a few months or years.

I'm not alone, not anymore.
I do have a home.
I will protect them with everything I've got.

They are my home.

Your head perked up at the sound of a door opening and chains swaying.

"What is your answer?" Tomura asked.

"Your right." you replied. You knew he was wrong. You realized that now.

"I'm putting these on," he said. He swayed the chains as he walked so you knew he was approaching. You felt him undo the restraints as he put on cuffs. He then put cuffs by your ankle. He pulled the chain signalling you to follow.

"I wish I held on tighter." you whispered.

"I used to think no one cared but then you came along. You were the only one who cared." he said.

"How could I not? You were a kid out on the streets in this unforgiving world." you replied. You accidentally bumped into him as his blindfold was still on.

"Sorry." you whispered.

"If I stayed would you have made me become a hero?" he asked. His voice sounded sad.

"No not really. If you stayed I would have us live somewhere far away from society or I would've taken you to travel with me around the world. If you wanted to you would've been an amazing rescue hero. You would've saved hundreds of people during disasters. That was only if you would've wanted to." you said.

You then felt someone in front of you.

"What did you think after I got lost?" He asked. Almost sounded as if he would cry.

"I was hurt. I wanted to take care of you. I wanted to protect you. When they pushed me away I panicked. Even after weeks I couldn't find you. I still thought about you. I always wondered if you were okay or if you had a home where you were safe. I wondered if you were happy." you replied. You could feel your eyes water.

He was quiet. Small sniffling is what you heard from him.

"Are you happy?" you asked.

"Can i hug you? Even if it's for a second." he asked. You nodded.

You were immediately hugged by the grown man. Except he felt the same as he did that day you first met him. He felt like a scared little kid. He felt if all he needed was someone to save him.

Tomura did not want to let go. Not again.

You had been the only person that would not crumble away from him. You had been the only person he could touch that would not leave him. He didn't have to worry about losing you. He didn't have to worry at all. It was the greatest thing to him.

As a child he never forgot the one kind person that did not abandon him like everyone else. He always wondered what it would've been like if he held on tighter. He wanted to stay with them. He always wanted to ask if they actually cared.

A few moments ago Tomura got his answer. He truly regretted letting his grip falter all those years ago. He would've had a peaceful life traveling and being with the one person who cared. He wished for the life you described. He wished to go back in time and change it all.

Alas Tomura couldn't change a single event. What's been done is done. Even now he couldn't just drop everything and live the life he wished for. He couldn't just drop everything after knowing he's killed people. No matter how hard he wished. His wish would not come true.
