• post "midnight sun", he gets extremely jumpy if someone touches his nape. even if it's just to put an arm around his shoulder—anything near his nape feels threatening.
• he doesn't eat his bread at mealtimes. he gives half to sasha, and uses the other half to feed birds.
• as a child, he said that he was going to marry eren. most other kids in the district considered him strange and as a result, he didn't think he would be happy with one of them.
• armin doesn't enjoy getting intoxicated often. members of the garrison like hannes ruined that for him as a child. there are a few exceptions, and all are days he would like to forget. these include the anniversaries of: the fall of shiganshina, the battle of stohess, and the day that the scouts retook shiganshina in which erwin died.
• he doesn't talk much about his parents, as he barely remembers most of the important details about them. his grandfather taught him everything that he knows and is who armin usually refers to when speaking about parents.
• aside from the scouts, armin considers hitch dreyse to be a close friend. this is mostly due to time that they spent "observing" annie's crystal at the same time over the years.
• occasionally he talks in his sleep. if you ask him a question during the night, you're going to get an honest answer.
• around a third of armin's nightmares involve eren or mikasa leaving him, or a nightmare involving his parents. the other half typically include a member of the warrior trio. the rest are about the woman that he killed to save jean.
• speaking of said woman, after visiting the ocean, he visited her family to apologize. the meeting did not go as nicely as he had hoped.
• he named his horses with the scouting regiment. typically, they are after places mentioned in his books or places that are important to him.
• he keeps the names of everyone that he knew from the 104th written on a sheet of paper. he updates it as often as needed with their statuses.
• sometimes he wishes that annie would have crushed him during the 57th expedition. while things would not have played out the way he did as he survived, he believes that he wouldn't have failed everyone's later expectations of him, and erwin might have survived.
• when he's drunk, he's either going to cling to you, or he's going to attempt to pick a fight with you. either way, he's going to be very honest.
• he considers himself an extremely poor commander in comparison to the two before him and strives to fulfill whatever expectations they may have had in him. nonetheless, he's continued working on various projects in terms of formations and training should they ever be necessary.
