he stops for a moment and smiles, as Jake claps. I smile.

“Wanna speed it up now that we got the lyrics down?”

I nod and smile at him. “Let's do it.”

He starts strumming his guitar a bit faster, making it more upbeat with it. I smile.

♫ I want you for worse or for better. I would wait forever and ever. Broke your heart, I'll put it back together. I would wait forever and ever. And that's how it works, it's how you get the girl, girl. ♫

Jake nods his head, which I’m guessing means he likes it. I smile and keep singing, closing my eyes.

♫ Remind her how it use to be. With pictures in frames of kisses on cheeks. Tell her how you must have lost your mind. And you left her alone, and never told her why. ♫

Cody smiles over at me, and plays the rest of the song, while I sing along with him. We stop together and I smile. Jake bounces a bit and claps his hands. I laugh.

“Like it Jake?”

He nods and grins up at me, “yeah!”

I smile, “Thank you. It wouldn't be complete without your father's help.”

He looks up at Cody and Cody nods. I smile as he crawls over and hugs his dad.

A week later, it's the day of the Talent show. Cody and I have been practicing every day for this. We're kind of nervous, he's actually coming up with him to perform. He's gonna play the guitar while I sing. No one will know why this song is so important to me, except Cody, Jake, and I. But It's been special to me since he asked me to be his by using them. Ever since, it's had me smiling from ear to ear since then when ever we practice. I'm in class, working when Jenn leans over,

“Are you excited yet?”

I nod and smile, “Excited and nervous. This song is gonna be amazing. I just hope I don't choke.”

She laughs softly, “You won't choke. I promise.”

I smile at her then Chelsea walks over,

“Hey losers.” She smiles.

I sigh, “what do you want, Chelsea?”

“Just to wish you luck tonight. You're gonna need it.” She smirks.

I roll my eyes, “You're the one who is gonna need it.”

she laughs, “Keep telling yourself that Oliver.”

I scoff, “Just because I didn't call the cops when you broke into my house, doesn't mean you can win everything.”

her eyes widen, “What?!”

“That's right, Chelsea. I know you broke into my house. I know you were in my room that night. Your flip flops gave it away.”
