Teaming Up

"Frisk, you say?"

Papyrus nodded, scribbling something down. "Questionable, but we both know he had weird taste."

Lord Gaster nodded, staring up at the pool of red. "It is only a matter of time before we begin the operation." He turned to look at his son.

"It is going well on your end, is it not?"

Papyrus laughed.

"It's Sans, father. Of course it's going well."

"ever fought sleep just to watch the sunrise?"
"no..?"
"well then we should. like, together."

"Oh my," the lady gasped in awe as she walked into the manor. Sans, while welcoming her, kept a close eye out the window. In case of eavesdroppers lurking about.

"Would you like tea?" He chose to be polite. But alas, his words were catching in his throat, coming out soft and meek instead of bright and hopeful.

The lady seemed to understand, however, and she waved a hand while chuckling to herself. "Of course I would!" She showed herself to the dining room. "You really ought work on your voice though" - Sans flinched - "some people could get the wrong idea."

"But not you?" He followed her.

"No," the lady chuckled again. He wondered if she did that often - laugh.

"I know you far too well."

And so they chatted for a good fifteen minutes, settled down in the cozy tea room with fresh tea in hand. The conversation went well, and Sans made sure to make it known to his guest that he was grateful for her quick response to his call.

Unfortunately fifteen minutes was all they had to chat, for an uninvited guest interrupted their discussion.

"Morning Sans! What's for... breakfast?"

Ah. There it is. Trouble.

Sans sighed heavily, burying his face into his hands. His guest, on the other hand, didn't miss a beat.

"Why, good morning to you too, young one," she gently placed her teacup onto the coffee table. "I don't believe Sans here would be thoughtful enough to prepare breakfast." She cast him a mischievous look.
