Eyes opened to yet another day or so you think,
Before sharp pain awakes and heart begins to sink,
Day in or night always the same way unfolding...
Vision's a blurr for mind will not let you to forget,
With memories of yesterdays soaking in cold sweat.

You've taken way too many covers wrapped by far,
Inside lost and you’ve forgotten who you really are.
Warm smile on your face to block unwanted eyes,
How long before your energy runs out and dries?

Relief written on your face once door is closed,
A labyrinth build to keep you safe inside this world,
With each facade you're shading layers into cold,
Reveling all the broken places, the new and old.

Soul moulded by crushing waves of pain is certain,
Unknown and foreign to all your everyday's burden.
Surrendering yourself to the cold and empty spaces,
Before the taunting demons invade a night's oasis.

Shivering limbs you're trembling on stone cold floors,
Sleep shaken and afraid of nightmare's opened doors.
Questions of doubt with thoughts spiraling in darkness,
Oppressed and captive painting it all in madness.

The mirror's reflection, dim shadow of yourself,
Bound that you're destined with a life on the shelf.
Slowly fading your strength begins to weaken,
Yet leaving behind the light of a brightest beacon.

Feel sorrow and worries and yet have faith and laughter,
With fear and still walk in courage to start a new chapter.
Deny your wounds and grief to turn you into other,
For social standards nor high expectations either.

Fragile image appears, locking eyes through mirror,
The pounding voice and heart screaming nearer:
'Escape this memory's dream and breathe in the living,
Flee this eternal cold and silenced cage, to a new beginning.'

Unraveling yourself to the home of your true soul,
Strength found through struggles making you whole.
Shine bright dear friend and hear your heart's song,
Know that in YOU, who you are is missing all along.

"Life is about learning lessons, showing love in the process, and growing into the beautiful souls we are meant to become. Don’t let yesterday rob you of your happiness today."
