"Your friend? How come we've never heard of this?" Alex asked
"She was never a superhero. It wasn't really covered on the news especially because we live in a small town nearby."
"Which is?"
"That doesn't matter" Chris said.
"No Kryptonians beside Supergirl and Superman survived."
"That's what you think. But our friend she... died recently."
"I'm sorry..." Barry said.
"Why would our news get to a different town?"
"I... we were in this town when we saw it" Chris said, Alex shooting them a suspicious glare.
"But we knew what it was-"
"How did you know where to find us? That we have links to Supergirl?"
"After a bit of quick research, you guys are always at the crime scenes. Tracking is easy when you're very good with computers" Alaia smiled.
"But that's literally besides the point. Red Kryptonite is dangerous. It pulls out any bad thought that the host has ever had. It makes them do things they'd regret. Supergirl isn't really herself right now and people are in danger unless you help." She added.
"Okay and how do you propose we do that?" Lizzie asked.
"I am.... smart. I'd be able to try help with the correct resources." Alaia said, Alex squinting her eyes at her.
"Yes, we need all the help we can get" Barry answered.
"Well... do you have a lab I can use? A computer?"
"Yea, I'll lead you there" Barry said, moving from his position as he walked towards the two, one holding a look of sheer excitement.
——
"Laya, I don't know what you're doing" Chris mumbled, watching Alaia type into the computer as the two were left in a small lab.
"Trying to save Kara." She mumbled.
"Why? We shouldn't interfere with this."
"Because, as much as you hate Barry and Kara, I do not."
"The Kryptonite was in place for a reason. Just... make sure they don't find out who really did it. If you spill that Laya, I swear to God."
"What? I won't, I'll draw the line there. I just wanna help. Besides, it's nice to have them in our view, close to us, rather than watching from afar. I much prefer it."
"Fine, whatever."
"Anyways, as much as you hate them, I don't see the need to."
"They made stupid decisions. They're not the heroes you see them to be."
"Why? Because they made one mistake?"
"It wasn't even a mistake. They did it on purpose."
"And I don't blame them. I'm glad they did what they did. You and the team hate them and the rest of Team Superflash for the most stupidest reason ever. I don't. The only reason I've kept my distance and watched as the Red K hurts Kara is because of you and the others."
"Do you even hear yourself? Our parents died when they made that decision."
"You're delusional. It wasn't their fault."
"Of course it was! Now, we have things to do. After Kara is rid of the Red Kryptonite, it's the Black Mercy next."
"Yep, correct."
"After it's in position, we'll watch from afar. Make sure everything goes how it should and then we leave them alone. You weren't even meant to reveal yourself."
"Fine. Deal, whatever."
"Don't be upset Laya."
"Just- leave me to do my work. I might end up needing help because as smart as I am, I won't be able to create a cure by myself."
"And I'm sure the Flash knows the perfect person to help."
"I'm sure he does"
"We're close Laya, we're close."
