I do not own J.R.R. Tolkien's lotr or Peter Jackson's adaptation.

I own Alexa, Mira, and the subplots surrounding them.

------------------------------------------------------

'Holy fuck who gave me the bottle of tequila' was the first thing that entered Alex's pounding head.

Alex's arms draped over her head letting out a groan. Her eye's pricked open and she shot up from the smooth satiny sheets of a bed that was not hers.

The surrounding room blurred greatly, yet It was clear it was not her car.

'With Mira?'

'No she was in Connecticut,'

' wait no I just picked her up from the airport,'

Alexa's head twirled in great confusion, so much infact she started to feel sick to her stomach.

Pushing down the bile that had risen in her throat she felt a small moment of clarity.

Black ice

A truck

The water

The light

Mira!

'I need to find Mira, god please let her be alright'

The fact Alexa wasn't in her original cloths, or how she didn't know where in the hell she was, didn't concern the panicked and possibly concussed woman.

Taking to her feet, Alexa repressed the sob that creeped up her throat and called out into the empty hall.

"Mira?!"

Panning the hall way The brunette was pressed with a decision; left or right.

Something deep within her told her to go right.

The low hanging archways, rounded shape, and all together homely vibe screamed
'yo dumb bitch ain't I familiar' somewhere in Alexea's slightly smaller than average brain.

Her ears pricked at the sound of voices that had suddenly goten louder.

Infact everything got louder, and brighter, and lighter.

Nausea spun it's way back into Alexa, as her surroundings consumed her.

Every detail of the beautifully crafted halls became visible. The light footsteps of someone approaching sounded like it was being played in concert speaker, inches from Alexa's ears. The strong smell of breakfast foods and tea, hung heavily in the air, suffocating her.

Alexa crumpled to the floor, her staggered breaths quicken with each moment. Her hands cupped her ear's trying desperately to cease the head splitting pain that form in her strangely pointed ears.

Alexa could feel the floor move slightly as the distinct smell of cherry blossoms and hibiscus attacked her.

'Mira'

Another scent was also close by it was earthy, with a hint of pipe smoke.

Alexa did dare to raise her head in fear that her state would worsen.

Mira kneeled infront of her distraught friend, taking note of how she reacted. Mira's hands rested on Alexa's shoulder in a faint yet comforting way.

In the quietest and most calming voice she could muster, Mira began to whisper to Alexa.

"It's okay, I'm right here, everything is alright, but I need you to calm down lex. Everything is overwhelming you right now because your in shock."
