All her life, Kayla Morgan has wanted to disappear off the face of the earth, between the fact that her parents ditched her as an infant at the hospital, and living with her super overprotective grandparents, her life just isn't easy, or in any way desirable. But one day walking home from school, she gets hit by a car and goes into a coma. She is unconscious for what seems like mere minutes, but is practically 10 years. When she "wakes up", she is in a space shuttle on a solo rescue mission. The only problem is, she has no idea WHY she's there and she doesn't remember the last 10 years of her life- including her astronomical training. Kayla is stranded in space, with no clue how to fix things, will she be able to get back to earth safely? Or will she perish in space?
