It was July 4th when Bucky's family came over to Lenae's family home. They were hosting a bbq/pool party. Winnie and Olivia have always hit it off at balls so they were always well acquainted with each other.
James and Dionne got to know each other as they got the grill going. Jace ran off to flirt with Steve now that his season was over and he was back in town. Lenae and Bucky were already in the pool. He had her in his arms and he walked around and they talked.
Everyone was having a blast. "My brother would have loved your family." She said
"I wish I could of met him baby." He said
MJ and her family joined the party. MJ Peter RJ and Jamie joined the others in the pool. The rest of their families came over when it was time to eat. The grandparents didn't want to join in all the pool fun.
As they were eating Margaret seen them together.
"Any word D on when those two are going to have babies and get married." Margaret said
"Who RJ and Jamie? You need to talk to Harold about that." He said
"No. Your daughter Len. I know love and that right there is love. Real love not that stupid sissy shitshow of a marriage she had with Kenneth's son. I heard about what he pulled at the office. I'm glad she got a restraining order." Margaret said
"Mom lets see where it goes first." Dionne said
At dessert MJ and Peter who just eloped announced they were expecting. Lenae looked down as her sister Jace also made an announcement. She and Steve were officially dating after talking for the past year.
"Len baby what is it?" Olivia said
"Nothing.. congrats to you both." She said as she left the room with Bucky chasing after her.
"Did we say something wrong?" MJ said
"Lenae has had multiple miscarriages while she was Wes. I think she may just be feeling a sting that's all honey." Olivia said
"Miscarriages? Why is this the first time I'm hearing about this?" Margaret said
"Because you know how Lenny is. She is a private person Marge. She didn't want anyone to know. The last one nearly killed her she lost a set of twins and a lot of blood." Olivia said
"She needs to see a specialist." Margaret said as Bucky came back in.
"Um thanks for the party and all. But Lenny is ready to go home." Bucky said
"James honey come here. Pick her up some chocolate cupcakes from the sugar shack and a large mocha milkshake. Those are always the things she asks for when she needs a mood boost. And you are an amazing guy by the way I'm glad she found you." Olivia said as she hugged him.
"Thank you Liv." He said as he kissed her cheek.
He hugged his family bye and left the party.
