The Seven Deadly Simpson Brothers
Chapter 9 ~ Exchange
I stood up and stretched, finally I had finished this dammed project. Well couldn't call it that actually. Because of this project, I had been accepted into the Walter's home by nearly all his brothers. I still hadn't seen Phoenix (who I think didn't like me much) or Eli.
I closed my notebook and walked over to Walter's bedside. I looked down at his sleeping form, and my tummy rumbled. The sound made him stir, and I stepped away checking the time. It was 6:21pm, I'd been here for two hours and twenty minutes. I usually would have eaten something by now. Maybe it was time for me to be getting home, I shouldn't push it was staying for supper...whatever time that was gonna happen anyway....if they would even ask me too. Let's not be getting ahead of myself here.
Phoenix suddenly entered the room, pushing the door open and knocking he did so. He stopped when he saw me. The thing about the oldest Simpson sibling was that he was the whole deal. He looked threatening without even trying to be, the way he walked, addressed people even his voice. This guy had been behind bars so many times, yet here he was a few meters away from me. Maybe he wasn't as clever as his 19-year old brother Landon and wasn't able to be covered up. Or maybe the crimes Landon had committed weren't as daring as what he had done. Either way this guy was the definition of dangerous.
"What are you doing?" he asked, looking me right in the eye. Not quite smiling either.
"I'm err...I'm just waiting for Walter to wake up?" It was a better answer than silence, because then he would start wondering how long I had been in his brother's room...assumingly watching him sleep. I did not want him to think I was some sort of freak.
Phoenix seemed to accept that answer as he simply walked up to the bed, "Don't worry, I'll do the honours." And to my horror, he slapped the side of Walters cheek, pretty hard.
Walter moaned and stretched, his top rode up a little to reveal some rather appealing abs and a glimpse of a tattoo on his left hip. However, the sudden violence inflicted on him didn't wake him up, instead Walter rolled over to his front his face buried in the pillow.
Phoenix scratched his stubble, then he whacked the back of Walter's head.
I wanted to yell at him to stop, but Walter stirred again and groaned, "fuck off..." into the pillow. Then he lifted his head and glared at Phoenix. "What's your problem?" he said, blinking hard.
"Your lady friend here wants you," he replied jerking a thumb in my direction. "And yeah, if you want food, get it now before its gone." Phoenix looked down at me one more time, and left.
Walter ran a hand down his face and sat up, "Sorry, I must had fallen asleep."
"It's okay," I replied. "I spent too much time with the triplets. I was able to finish the project though, while you were asleep."
"Oh," Walter looked surprised. "Did you save it onto my hardrive?"
"Yeah," I smiled.
"Thanks," he got up off his bed, and stretched again.
"So do you want to have dinner? Or do you want to go home?" he asked me.
Honestly, I wanted to stay just a little bit longer. "Can I stay?" I scrunched my face a bit.
