•Chapter Three•

Ash's P.O.V

"Oh my fucking god Ash! Just let her have a turn. If I need to come down here to youse yelling once more I'll break the fucking thing!" Via yelled before going back upstairs, making me roll my eyes.
"Whatever." I mumbled under my breath and gave Alice the controller. She doesn't even like playing the fucking thing.

Getting up I saw Alice frown. I don't know why, she got what she wanted. I walk to the mini fridge and got a water before making my way over to where Ruby was.

"What ya doing?" I asked sitting next to her at the table.
"Nothing?" She asks while trying to hide her screen from me with a guilty look on her face. I laughed as I stood grabbing her laptop. She yelped and jumped up, trying to get it from me as I held it above her.

"Ash! Give it back!" She yelled trying to jump and reach it.
"Ha! You are so short. What are you? Like four foot?" I teased holding the device higher.

"No! I'm five foot two, thank you very much. You're just gigantic!" She tried to defend, stopping her jumping and folding her arms, frowning at me.

"Oh, I'm sorry I was so far off you're "tall" height." I teased again, chuckling. Just as I go to lower the laptop it's snatched from my hand making me turn around, only to see Via standing there giving me a pointed look.

"What do you think you're doing Ashlyn?" She asked raising her eyebrow. I looked at Ruby and she gave me a smug look making me roll my eyes. "Nothing, boss" I mumbled making her laugh. "Better be nothing, I only left to get my phone and you're already annoying everyone. And what have I told you about making fun of her height? It's not her fault she never grew." They said making me laugh and Ruby to stomp her foot and grabbed her laptop back.

"What were you doing anyway babe?" Via asked kissing her wive's cheek, sitting at the table next to her. I followed by taking a seat opposite them.
"Nothing." She said closing it, looking down and not looking at her.

"Don't tell me you were looking again?" Via asked exasperated shaking their head, stealing my water and drinking it all. She always steals my stuff.

"But they're so cute, V! And I promised to take care of it, you know I would!" She rambled, looking at Via with a hopeful look.

"Puppies again?" I asked Via with a knowing look to which she shook her head in disapproval, rolling her eyes. "Puppies again."

"Rube, do you not remember the hamster I got you?" Via asked and huffed, obviously this wasn't the first time they had this conversation. In fact, I think Ruby has been trying to persuade Via to get a puppy for about a year now but they won't budge. I shook my head as Ruby, once again, got into a heated rant on why they should get one.

"Ash! Look! I done it!" I hear Alison yell from the other end of the den causing me to look over. She is leaning her front on the back of the couch, waving the Xbox controller. I just fake smiled and nodded before getting up.

"I better get home, Soph will be wondering where I am. Sash, Ace and Rubes I'll talk to youse later. Bye." I say waving and walking out while everyone yelled bye.

"Where have you been Ashlyn?" Uncle Ray questioned causing my aunt to look up, as soon as I walked through the door. I fist pumped them as they were sitting on the sofa watching a film. "The den. Lana upstairs?" I asked and they nodded making me run up to the little monster's room.

"Ashy! You're home!" The gremlin yelled before running and jumping on me making me chuckle and lift her up, setting her on my hip as she hugged me. "You been good today?" I asked as she nodded but with the cheeky look she gave straight after, I knew she was lying.

I managed to move her so I was holding her upside down by her legs, with one hand holding each leg. "Want to answer that again? With the truth?" I questioned, to which she giggled and shook her head no. I pretend to drop her causing her to squeal and burst into a fit of giggles. "What was that?" I asked, smiling at her laughing. "Fine! I got in trouble again. But it wasn't my fault!" She exclaimed making me laugh and lay her on the floor, allowing her to stand back up.

"It's never your fault is it? What'd you do this time?" I question, trying not to smile. She seems to be more like me each day.

"I may have, maybe have, punched a boy in the face." She mumbled shyly with her head down. "And why would you do that?" I asked trying harder not to smile. "Because he said that I can't have a girlfriend because I am a girl and tried to hold Missy's hand. You know she's my girlfriend! So I punched him. Not my fault, he started it!" She exclaimed crossing her little arms, getting louder and angrier with each word. I try really hard but can't help but burst out laughing.

I fist pumped her causing her to smile. She really doesn't act like a six year old, well I acted like that at that age but still.

"Ash, you better not be encouraging violence to my six year old child again." Soph scolds as she walks into the room. "Of course not! Why would I ever do that?" I asked and smile at her, trying to look innocent. She just smiles and shook her head before slapping mines. Rude.

I kiss their cheeks and said goodnight before leaving for a shower.

"Hah, always knew you were a bottom Rubes." Sasha teased through my headset. Sasha, Ace, Ruby and I were playing Warzone after I came out a shower. We could hear Via and Ruby flirting as Ruby forgot to mute. Via was saying what they would do to Ruby if she never stopped playing, and Ruby was getting embarrassed and being really submissive. She always tried to convince us she was a top but by their little conversation she's barely a switch.

I was about to add my input when Via's voice came through. "If youse don't leave my fucking wife alone I'll torture you, make you kill each other, torture the last one alive worse than before, feed your dead bodies to our new puppy and replace youse with a snap of my fingers. Understood?" They yelled with a threatening voice causing me to burst out laughing.

"What's so funny Ash?" Via asked with an annoyed tone and I could picture her rolling her eyes.

"One, kill me, I don't give a shit but Soph will kill you. Two, you could never replace us, we are too good and you love us too much. And three, you gave in and are getting her a puppy! Hah, whipped!" I yelled and burst out laughing again.

"Oh fuck you Slater!" She yelled, using my last name and disconnected from the game making me laugh harder.

"Mads, I've told you so many times I'm not sitting with you and your weird little group of freaks!" I exclaimed for the umpteenth time throwing my hands up, getting annoyed.

"Is there a problem, Ash?" Mr Dickward, my annoying ass english teacher, asked. I shook my head and drew my eyes off of him as he went back to spewing his bullshit.

"They are not freaks, stop calling them that!" She lightly slapped my arm and glared at me. "And please? You would love them and I don't like you sitting yourself all the time, you always look lonely." She continued, then went into another rant on why me being lonely, volunteered might I add, at lunch was bad and depressing or some shit.

Maddie and I have sat together in english for at least three years now. We always end up in the same class and due to our last names we are always sat together. I would consider her a friend but not to the extent of sitting with her at lunch. She's always trying to get me to sit with them and it's getting more and more annoying each time, so I gave in and decided to let them join me. Only today though so she'd shut up and see how I won't like them and they won't like me.

Besides, I can't get close to people incase some knobby enemy shoots them all.
